It is possible to fit a complete electrical system from a -96 501 on a 400 -01 engine?
On the new engine i have the flywheel and from the old one the stator and CDI
I am bying a 01 400 engine and are going to mount it in a older chassi and have the CDI and stator from the older bike.
The seller even have the CDI but if the old one fit i dont have to buy the CDI and hopfully i save some money
I have a spare stator to an -99 501 and a friend had it on his 400 -03 so on a newer bike the older stator and newer CDI works togegether, i know that the stator from -99 to 03 is the same.
I will even mount all the newer plastics on the chassi too if and when i got the time ;-)
