I am looking for Old berrgs in Australia , as in pre 97 models to buy, in particular an 89 model but I think I will be needing to look OS for an 89 model, please contact me at [email protected] if you are in OZ and know where or have any old bergs for sale, or anywhere in the world if you have or know of a 89 model berg for sale.

I would also be VERY interested in buying this bike back, it is my factory backed 94 model FE350, the last I heard of the bike it was in Victoria, please help bring my baby back!

as you probably know the best person to know where these things are may be John Appleby who you may be able to track down through the Yamaha dealeship in Vivtoria although he has not been a dealer for a while. I have a new sticker kit for the 92 model 350 and some flat slides for the flat slide dellorto. I also have the alloy 2.5 litre tank that was made by Eric in the States that fits under the seat. Good luck on the search. Those bergs were indeed very very light. It was only later they got bigger motors and went heavy to make them last longer, but I could pick up my 92 350 as it was truly as light as a suzuki rmx 250. good luck on the search.

ArrhH, My old friend John, I am sorry to say that last I heard, life dealt John some rather bitter blows, and ended him up in the big house!, I wouldn't even know where to start to look for him these days, I don't think anyone here could even start to comprehend what he went through to introduce Husaberg to the Australian market only to be dusted off like a piece of turd by the KTM Corperate machine...nethertheless, I hold his pride and joy(96 JSRFC600) still in unusedcondition in my collection to represent the good ol days

Hi E74,
Sounds like you have a serious collection going allready!

you should set up a gallery so that we can admire your bikes.

Azza.

Looks like I could have found it Via my VMX connections, I will let ewe's know when and if it comes home...

what did happen to John Appleby.... by the way it was Husaberg that let it happen. This is common it happened with the original Husqvarna dealer as well, however, like everything everyone has a view and it would seem what happens comes around again..... or that is what some say with Husky. Husky rider since 1972, berg rider since 1992. what can I say. That Joel Smets replica with the signiture on the back mudgard....you sure nobody has riddent it? The dam cams on that thing mean if you did ride it and open the thottle it is very hard to keep the front down and if you back off it stalls. Very strong guy that JS!

Yep, your right ,..., Pity the JERK that I bought it off didn't give me all that was promised to come with the bike, kept the shroud decals for his FE600 and then Jacked the agreed price AFTER it was loaded into my van, But just like you said,.. what goes around comes around....

After much searching, communications and help from Bahnsy here in OZ, I have found and purchased my Baby back, looks a way bit different with some modenersation being prformed on her over the years but I have the power and the parts to bring her back to her former glory!

Here is how she looks now......
