Newly purchased FS650C, 5 hrs on engine, , occasionally on startup it wll smoke for a few minutes. Black oil is lightly coating the exhaust. Has anyone else expereinced this ?

Thanks

This will begin at list for 40 hours.its a normal condition for bergs.change your oil every 3 hours until the 20 hours operation.do not rev the bike on from 5000 rpm for 40 hours.do not listen about 2 tanks fuel and then open throtle.this will be destroy the sleeve and piston rings from heat.if you put inside the engine thick oil will you have more smoke.try a 10-40 MCF AMSOIL.

Thanks..so far I am changing the oil after evry 2 hours, oil may be too thick, it almost acts like valve seals because it only does it after it sits.Going to be hard to hold off the breaking in until 20 hours. Thanks .

The valve seals are ok.keep the revs down from 5000 rpm for 40 hours and the exhaust will stop smoke like magic.the same happend to me.carefull this is very important this for your engine life.

I do not know but i do not like experiments with oil in that bike .the oil is the 90% of engine life in bergs.i never used a non synthetic oil.

Go to my post WORLDS BEST OIL.I think it will help you much about
oils.Download the two zip and you will know anymore

what do the husaberg factory use in the brand new bergs, mineral or synthetic oil ?

i always thought it was best to use mineral oil in a new motor , to allow the piston rings to bed in . am i wrong ?
