Oil Sight Glass - Does this look right?

Okay, did Orangeberg, replaced water passage O ring, replaced water pump shaft O ring and seal.

After cool down the bike's oil and coolant levels seem to return to normal, but I've only run it for 10 mins or so.

New to this bike and Husaberg, in general; but, have never looked at a sight glass before when bike is running.

Does this look right?

Thanks.

that looks like mine on cold startup

if you take some of the oil soak a rag in it then burn the rag

it spits and pops if there is water in it

if you warm the bike up .. 5 min or so and then shut the engine off the oil should look normal

Wow, thanks guys. Thought for sure I was going to have to pull the cover again. It just never occurred to me that the oil would be so frothy. But I guess from all the gearing that goes on in the case it makes sense that the oil would take on some air.

Thanks again.

I think I would do at least one more drain and fill. It does look a little on the milky side. The action in the sight glass is normal. It's what I call "the swedish jacuzzi";)

Good idea. I think I've finally gotten the coolant leaks sealed, so there may have been some residual.

Well, I think it is just possible that I may have divorced coolant from oil. Following Berger's suggestion, one final drain did still produce quite a bit of clouding in the oil. But, after the refill and 5 min run up to temp, I pulled off a small sample and it was as clear as new.

Also, the Swedes may notice some color when they next exit the Jacuzzi, as the sight glass is now showing a slightly darker hue.

Thanks to all.

Steve

p.s. - Problems sure acquaint one with the bike!! May be the best way to really learn. ;)
