Yep, Delo 15-40. Shell Rotella T in 15-40 is also a good choice if you can't get the Delo. If you must run synthetic, Shell also makes Rotella T synthetic, in a 5-40. Here in the states Kmart, Walmart, and Autozone typically carry the gallon size of the standards for fairly cheap($6-7), and Walmart carries the synthetic Shell for about $13.

Following is a copy quote from another site.

Here is some virgin oils to compare 1st 3 are Diesel oils. The 4th is a good Motorcycle oil. 5th one is a car oil. Keep in mind if you ride in Hotter areas and run you bike real hard a XXw 50w oil might be a better choice. Oil wt is a very big factor in wear also.

Mobil 15-50 full synthetic. Your motor will last forever and it will love you for it. That is the number one oil, all racers use it. Anyone that dosent is not going to keep it that long or is an idiot. I swear by it.

hehe, this is going to be fun. :spank:

I only ask to all the "idiots" who are going to post a reply(even those "idiots" who have spent the majority of their adulthood working with oils and have the audacity to disagree), please play nice. One  doesn't always deserve another.

thanks,

Been through this before.Enuff said.

I'm playing nice. It's just that I see so many idiots out there. That care to go the extra mile in preserving and giving a machine the best maintenence. Then when they have to replace parts dew to were they can afford it then.

I think there should be some oil wrestling matches to settle this score, once and for all. There could be various vats with different oils, to see who the victor will be. Sounds like a great fund raising opportunity for UHE, and might generate more interest than raffles.

If you saw me covered in oil, you would pay me to put my clothes back on. THAT would be a fund raiser, and my second most humiliating life experience, next to waking up in the barracks crying for my mommy while in the fetal position...... but we'll leave that for another camp fire...

Thanks Tuts:

Nothing personal against anyone. Just feeling especially mean and hateful this evening! :)

I think most professionals agree that your better off with cheap non synthetic oil ($.89 a qt at Walmart) and changing it every ride than using a high end synthetic and changing it every few rides. These 4-stokes are not the most pleasant bikes to service. Especially my KTM (2 filters, 2 screens), so I tend to put my faith in the more expensive synthetics. For me its Motorex 10/50......

I disagree the second that motor starts the oil breaks down and losses it's protective value. Now with a full syntetic that was used for breakin in a car motor they still had the honeing marks at 200,000 miles. The oil is so much better. I dont run it in my truck though. The reason wjhy is i'm not keeping it that long. So it's not worth it. But for my bikes my mom's truck. Only mobil full syntetic.
