Oil changes and warranty

Just got my new 2011 FE570. In reading the manual, it looks like changing your own oil will void the warranty! Is everyone out there changing their own oil just taking a chance with the warranty??

I change mine. I have a good dealer that I know well and that helps.

Can't imagine a fuel pump fault relating to an oil change.
I think the only way changing your oil can void warranty is, if the fault submitted for warranty is defect due to the oil change or tasks performed.

As long as you use a good quality semi syn oil or better and the correct amount (get a measuring cup) you should be ok.

6 months in Australia.

In the US it is 30 days if used as a competition bike, but 6 mos. otherwise.
