Oil change woes

sagamore hills, oh
I have a 2009 FE570 and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get a torque wrench or any ratchet for that matter on the drain bolt or filter screen bolt. Any ideas?

Is it just me? They must have some low profile wrenches in the EU because that is a tight @ss fit!

Use a 1/4 ratchet with a 13mm socket on an extension, or use the box end of a 13mm fixed wrench. That is what I use and it fits.

Thanks Jon. I ended up using a box wrench but I always get nervous over tightening which is why I prefer to use a torque wrench.

I will try the 1/4 ratchet with the extension...did you go over the frame to reach the oil drain bolt?

I love my berg, but I wish they would have thought through the oil change bolt access and moving the header away from the gas tank.

Yes I go over the frame with extensions so I can use my torque wrench. If the bolts are difficult to remove I use a box wrench.
