Holy cow, was that a blast. I just wanted to post a few personal observations of Force ride '07.

First off a big thank you to Ken (Berger) and his wife Linda for their wonderful hospitality. They put Schwim and I up and provided bikes for us for the ride. Thanks buddy.

Ned, it was a pleasure getting to know you. I very much enjoyed our conservations over breakfast and look forward to riding with you again. Dude, Canned Heat is awesome!

Dez, you are a class act. Thank you for all your hard work in setting up this ride. Oh, I put in a good word to some of my old Navy buddies. They will be in contact soon in regards to your commission to the silent service. :)

Bob, thank you for leading our rides. The ease at which you can associate with folks on their level is amazing.

Shaggy, It was comforting to have you riding sweep. Thank you for all of your help on the rides.

Cypher, I was a little apprehensive since I had not been on a bike in a year and a half but after riding with you it all came back and the duels we had were a blast. It was nice getting to know you and I look forward to riding w/ you again.

Kez, you are an inspiration. It was good meeting you.

Taffy, thanks for coming over again. I will see you in '09

Lizard killer, I always told my brother he rode like a chic. I am going to have to rephrase that to say you ride like a chick but not as good as LK.

Sethro and elf, If I ever buy any more grass I'll get it from you! It was good hanging out with you.

Fry, thanks for coming down again. I am looking forward to riding up in the "Great white north" with you guys.

A big thanks to all the vendors. The raffle was out of control. Thank you for supporting our community.

A big thanks to all the other folks there. It was a blast and Schwim and I are looking forward to Force ride '09

Paulie, Did you think I would forget you? Until next time my friend .....you can call me Grandpa pa .

Holy cow is right. What an awesome trip!!

Ken, thank you very much for shuttling us around. Your hospitality was greatly appreciated. Oh, how cold were those fries?

Ned, it was a great pleasure to meet and ride with you. I thoroughly enjoyed all your stories. Wow.

Bob, excellent trail selections. Getting turned around a little makes for a more interesting ride. Thumbs up!!

Shaggy, it was so much fun dicing it up on the Kane Creek ride. Muchas gracias. :D

Cypher, I have only one question ... Do you ever keep your clothes on??!! Every time I turned around I got an eye full of flesh. Sheesh. Poison Spider totally rocked. I'm very honored to have been a part of that ride with you.

Husyodaddy, A big thanks for getting squirrelly on Poison Spider and giving me one yell of a yard sale. It was great fun riding with you and I look forward to more rides.

Jeff, A huge thanks for your help with the KTM's clutch. Allowed me to enjoy the rest of the Kane Creek ride.

Schwim, Your humor was outstanding.

Sethro and Elf, Bummer we never got to hook up for a ride. Next time for sure!!

Many thanks to all the vendors and others. I'm looking forward to more good times.

forgot to mention the tale about the new bloke.

i met someone at the petrol station - we both had our bikes there and this must have been the friday morning coz shaggy deliberately went to brekkie w/o me and bobzilla was alright tightening up ove his gastronomic delights of later that evening.

anyway, met this fella and asked "?" and he says he comes a long way from a dealers shop and he's not a member.

upon having brekkie i go back to slick rock and there he is. i explained that each member of our eclusive club had to be verified by our leader json. so as good as gold he walks up to jay and explains what a great guy he is and how he'll be good.

jay, playing the part to the full rubs his chin and says: "well, now if you promise.....!"

trust we put him off for life after this!

regards

Taffy

That's alright, the night prior, another guy showed up, and berger told him that Dez ran the site, and he should talk to him about being allowed to join...

It's really amazing that we get any members at all, really. The few who can jump through the hoops probably hate us by the time they're able to join :D

thanks,
json

hehe...

Guy: yeah, I just bought a Husaberg last week.
Berger: what's your username on the site?
Guy: Well, I don't have one, it won't let me register.
Berger: Yeah, good luck with that. You'll never get one. The guy who runs it is incompetent.
Guy: Well, I talked to DezDuster about coming here, but I don't know who to talk to about the site.
Berger: DezDuster runs the site as well.
Guy: Oh... I guess I'll find him and ask him.
Berger: That's what I'd do.
Schwim: His cabin's right over there...

He's probably never going to join now :(

thanks,
json

"So I get lost one day and I talk to some fellas, and sheeshh a few years later, I've owned about 4 of these funny Swedish made motorcycles, I like'em all but its like that guy, put me in a spell....never been the same since"

I was wondering why that guy came to my cabin asking for me. He told me that some goofy guy next door sent him, so I pointed at tuts and said "He's Dez".
After 2 minutes with Paul the guy just shakes his head, leaves, and I never see him again.
