hello,
i'm seriously considering of selling my FS 570 because i'm having alot of problems with it
i bought the bike new in august '09 and after a few months i've had a starting problem (wich was fixed under guarantee after a lot of BS)
i have 5200km on the bike now, i turned it in at 5000km for maintenance with an official dealer, he did the maintenance and checked my valves.
then 200km later one of my intake valves was broken :? the dealer told me that i was the first with this problem and he couldn't explain why this valve was broken after only 5200km :?
and then he told me that i would have to pay all the expences and parts because my bike was out of guarantee
this isn't right, in europe every bike wich has papers for road-use( and isnt a real competitionmachine like the ktm 450smr) has to have a 2 year guarantee, but husaberg doesn't give it
it pisses me off, because the main reason for me to buy a new bike and not a second hand one was that i wouldn't have all these problems, and so i could call upon my guarantee when something would go wrong, so basicly i'm screwed right now :?
the husaberg dealer (wich is also a ktm-dealer) where i bought my bike told me that it would be good for everydays use, now i wonder why he didn't recomend a KTM 690 SMC, wich is mouch more durable, but also alot cheaper :?
now i heard from another dealer that there were alot of problems with the 570 he even refuses to sell a 570 if someone comes asking for one, he told me that the engine is the same as the 390 and 450 engine, but with another cilinder and more compression, he also told me that he thinks the engine is much to light for such a huge cilinder, and that this engine will never be durable
i dont know alot of husaberg-owners in person, but the ones i know also have their share of mechanical problems with their husabergs, and it's not always easy to get spare parts here in belgium (im waiting for over a month for a litle part of my valve :? )
conclusion : i'll never buy a husaberg again  if there was a decent form of guarantee i would never sell the bike, but now it's just getting to expensive (the cost of all the parts of the broken valve are around 400euros, and now i was lucky that the valve broke in low RPM) since i have bought the bike i've always been defending and praising husaberg, but the harsh reality caught up with me :|
and then people start wondering why 85% of all supermotards (in belgium) are husqvarna's
now i'm going to clean the bike and hopefully i can sell it for a nice price, but i'll probably lose about 2500euros
