Not finding Non-"LE" Delo 400

Parts guy said they thought Chevron was phasing out straight Delo 400 because all they are getting is Delo 400 LE. That is all Walmart has too. I haven't seen non "LE" anywhere around me (in TX). Is LE really not recommended or, if given the choice, get the other kind?

Unless I am mistaken, the LE Delo has molybendum disulphide in it, a very good lubricating additive, and it is supposedly not good for your wet clutch. I know that on the Honda CRF's that have the divorced trans/engine oil, the engine oil has an even higher level of moly in it than the Delo LE, if I am not mistaken.

If you are into using that type of oil you might check out Rotella and see if it has any moly in it. It's right up there with the Delo in a lot of testing and is used in a lot of fleet applications like Delo.

I am not into any type of oil - just trying to find something good, readily available, and not overly high-priced. I am new to the husaberg and just taking advantage of the collective wisdom here.

I guess I need to look for an oil without moly, correct?

Thanks.

That's correct no moly.

FWIW, I have been running MOTUL 15W-50 for years now with really great success. I also change mine frequently, after every ride. A ride being anywhere from 4-6 hours.

I seem to recall someone saying that in the US you had to get the non LE in bulk direct from the agents/wholesalers as it was being removed from general distribution. It will clag up particulate filters and cat converters I think, ie not suitable for modern low emissions diesels. The engines run fine, but the emission management systems are slowly stuffed.
