Not entirely what I expected???

Have been lucky enough to get sent to the Motherland for a couple of weeks for work. 'Tis a lovely place. The blonde honeys here would indicate that I'm definitely in Sweden. :D

In the last two days west of Stockholm I've seen a gazillion cars & a handful of motor scooters but only one motor bike - & it was a Japanese Harley wannabe! NO 'bergs or any other Euro steeds for that matter. I know it is cold, but not that cold??

The only shop I've seen that was anything like a bike shop had the word "mopedcrosse" on the front. Thought that sounded like an interesting concept....

For how long do we have the honor of your presence?

Oh, I forgot...

Welcome! :D

I wouldn't head off to Stockholm in hope to find bergs... :D We're using them as intended, hard, in the woods. :D
It was cold as a mf today...here in Vasteras (1 hours drive westwards of Sthlm), and insanely slippery roads, my underpowered, but very comfy leathered up Volvo broke traction in 4th, at 1800 rpm... That's with proper Nokian studded tires...

Effinell...

Thanks for the welcome. So far it has been a quick trip from Stockholm to Örebro then back the following night. Yesterday we flew north to Gällivare - up near Santa Claus I think. We plan to be here for the next two or three weeks working on a mining truck.

Your country is magnificent!! Till today I had never been near a frozen lake, so this place is really amazing (and bloody COLD) to me. 'Tis three thirty and already dark!!! I guess I understand more now why there were not many bikes on the road....

Everyone I have met so far have been most friendly & haven't seemed to hold against me that I can't speak anything other than English. Then again, I don't know what names I have been called in Swedish. Have been fortunate in that I'm here with a collegue who grew up in the south of Sweden.

Cool, Örebro is a mere ~50 km from Husaberg country (Laxå) - and a wicked enduro track there...open Sundays. :)

And you've got the KTM/Husaberg head office in Örebro as well. :D

Did you visit Husa R & D in Örebro?
You should come back to Santa Claus country in the summer when the sun never sets. 8)

If you got some spare time on your way home just howler n' we'll see if we can scramble together some more Husa fanatics.

A friend of mine didn't think he was so fortunate when he decided to live in this country.
He discovered that it was almost impossible to learn swedish since everybody wanted to speak english with him!
(He's from the US)
