I recently purchased a nology wire only to find out that it is teh one used by go karts
since go karts run 125 cc engines and my bike is a 2005 fe 650 e, i think i need a bigger wire.
I checked on the application chart and found a wire more suitable but no mention of our bikes so I dont know for shure.

Is any one know which one to use??? :?:

The Nology wires have been tried by a few here with no noticeable improvement anywhere. What are you trying to improve?

Spark I think that if spark is better the bike will start when cold.

do you have any ideas???

thanks

Check make sure all the electrical connections are clean and tight, the ground as well. Make sure the timing on the bike is right and last check, clean and make sure the plug wire and cap are tight, from where it screws into the coil to the plug cap. That makes a big difference.
Hope this helps.

Are not those in the hall of shame?

I guess that's a big item for the Fast and Furious crowd, but it won't make any difference on a dirt bike.

I know Voss uses another such gizmo and my guess is that he's only doing that for the sponsor money.

a friend of mine put a noloqy on his 98 501. it was the only mod at the time. helping the kickstarting significantly.

I used one, I found no noticable improvement. Still, if you have an extra $40 burning a hole in you pocket, it cant hurt.
I will post the part number next time I go to the bike shop. They still have one on the wall, it's been there a couple of years :D

H Gang,

I tried one a few years ago on my 98 FE501. On average, I thought it started maybe 1/2 a kick better. Maybe I was trying to justify the dollars. Biggest probelm was that the integrated cap is crap and ultimately couldn't handle the Berg massage. FCR improves starting instead.

Judging from what I read in a thread in the electrical adding a coil of the same make might help. Just a guess but it would be a good idea to find out more first.
