Had my Husaberg stolen this week from my enclosed trailer sitting in my driveway. It stands out like a sore thumb around these parts, but I still doubt I'll ever see it again.

Damn thieves.

Sorry, to hear that. Carma should dish out some serious pain if the crook rides it.

Real sorry to hear that John. I can never quite wrap my head around the mentality of low life thieves. :(

John

If you catch the MFs hand out some Texas judgement on 'em!

regards

Taffy

Sorry to hear about your bike John.

you live in FW, right?

If you bought your berg from Actionmotorsports in Decatur, contact Craig (the owner), he sends out weekly Emails and always puts out the word about stolen bikes. I think 2 of 4 were recovered, won't hurt to try.. here's his Email: [email protected]

and Email me some pictures of the bike and VIN#, I'll try and post it up on TWT forum.

best of luck!

I believe that Texas has a "he deserved to die law" on the books. And it's also legal to shoot someone who is stealing your property, just as long as you gave someone permission to do so.

John, real sorry to hear about your bike being stolen, I hope that Action Motorsports can help track it down.

I don't even have recent pictures of the bike. It had a later model tank and shrouds, a Scott's Damper, and Fastway Fit handguards. I don't live anywhere near Fort Worth--I am in Lubbock. It also has custom PG Graphics with a Texas flag and "Lubbock Trail Riders" on both sides. The Husaberg logo was the new angular design that came on the 2009 bikes.

I will post the vin later. Thanks for the offer of help.

Well, I got my bike back, unfortunately not in the shape it was. It had been joy-ridden and crashed. I do have insurance on it, but it looks like that is going to drag out as well.

Someone looking to buy the bike from the thief called the Husaberg shop here to ask about if Husabergs were any good, and of course the owner knew right away it was mine. That's the good thing about owning a unique bike in a small town. Anyway, the shop owner got the address, called me, I called police and met them at the address, and sure enough found my bike--no graphics, bars twisted and bent, plastic trashed, etc. It was heartbreaking because I kept my bike looking new.

The only good thing was one of the persons there had outstanding warrants, so I got to at least see someone go to jail. Thanks to all the guys at The Cycle Shack here in town. They look out and care for their customers.

I think congratulation is in order.

You are one of the lucky few who get there bike back after it was stolen.

I'm sure you'll get it looking like new again in no time.

I hope the guy gets what he deserves in jail.

Regards
Hilmar

Congratulations on getting your bike back.

Luck is on your side. Now go play the lottery.

chuffed for you John. you had more than a little luck but deserved.

Sorry to hear about the condition of your bike, but, glad to hear that you got it back. Can't say that I'm surprised that it had been on the ground, I bet the first time the perp grabbed a handful it was on the ground.

Don't know if it will help, but, I have a pretty good looking stock tank off of my 04 550 that you can have if you pm your address. I've also got one or two rear fenders that, while not in that great of shape could be buffed out, or just have graphics put over them if that will help as well. Again, just need your address and I will send it to you.

Thanks everyone. I have signed off on wanting to press charges, so maybe someone will do some extended time in jail. They need to.

Dale,
I have spare plastic already, even the stock tank since I had the newest version of the tank/shrouds installed when it was stolen. The insurance company insisted on me taking the bike to the shop to get checked over, otherwise I'd have it already sorted.

Again, thanks to all for the support.

Always cringe when reading stuff like this. Not only does it creep you out when it happens, but often the ins company does a number afterward. Glad you got it back, let us know how well the ins company takes care of the damages.

That's excellent you got your bike back John! I hate theives. I got ripped off years ago and remember feeling so personally violated.

Dale, very nice gesture on your part.
