Hello to all,,
I have just recently purchased a 2006 FE 450..
I am not much of a person for riding in the wet weather, but having just acquired the beast that she is, I took her for a strapping.. I had arrived home, I let her cool down, etc etc.. I washed her with the garden hose,, not a pressure washer... I let her dry overnight,, went to start her up next morning,, and well,, she did not fire up for me,, as per usual.. I have since changed the ignition coil, the spark plug cap and spark plug,, thinking I have put some water in the wrong place... Ignition coil has spark, all the way to the plug..
My problems are that the next step to me would be the carby,, as tho I have no fuel, entering the chamber, to ignite... I have removed and emptied, the bottom bowl on the carby, in case I got to heavy handed with the garden hose... Please if you can help me in any way, shape or form,, it would be muchly appreciated, as tho I have not very much knowledge on carburettors...
Kind Regards,,
