I was wondering if anyone had heard any news or rumors about updates or changes to 2006 husabergs. I plan on picking up an 06 fe-650 this fall,I put down my deposit and I can`t wait.

We'll have some information soon, probably this week.
You can expect some BNG's in addition to redesigned plastics (which may or not retrofit). Mostly visual / styling updates, with technological changes limited to refinements, not re-inventing the wheel.

"BNG" as in Barrett Negotiation Group?
Surely you mean "BMG". How much are they paying you?

Sorry for the jargon - in the motorcycle industry, BNG stands for BOLD NEW GRAPHICS. Just goes to show that we can still learn something new every day, eh ?

I`ve always thought that Husaberg didn`t need to reinvent the wheel just to refine what it already had. More visual appeal is not a bad thing it will sell more bikes now that the word is out in Dirt Rider about just how good these bikes really are. Hope they keep new parts that will retrofit older bikes.
What little I hear, they are redesiging the rear Shock secondary piston where the fluid is forced into a cup shape. I think they will do away with the blunt nose needle. It might make it harder to tune the shim stack on the secondary piston? This is both KTM and Husaberg.

Have heard here in OZ that they will definately be narrower, only cosmetic changes known. Australia still hasn't held thier dealer meeting this year which normally is done june/july. So dealers know what to expect here in August for the 06's. However we won't be seeing them till late september/october.

When I first go riding is 1. Pull the choke, 2. No throttle, 3. good hard full kick, and its starts to a idle. This may take one or two kicks. If I stall it in a turn, 1. Pull the clutch in and kick with no throttle, or if neccsary pull the Hot Start button and kick, no throttle. Three kicks at the most and it fires right up.

just got of the phone to the uk importer and was told that the 04/05 plastics will fit it meanining that the 06 plastics will fit 04s and 05s but there was also bad news (in my opinion) they are going to have a black frame in 05!!

I heard a few days ago, that the 06´s will become a narrower tank and new spoilers.
My dealer has already got the parts numbers for the spoiler and a price! (they´re really expensive),
but no informations about the tank. Right now Acerbis seems to be unable to tell anything about the capacity ?? I wonder why.
I´m not sure if this is a fact or just unknowledgement of my dealer.....
Nevertheless, I hope, and I believe that the new tank will fit models 2000-2005 and I will be the first one who buy one of these....
