hello berg riders,

yesterday at the first race to the german enduro championship 2007 a bmw-prototype starts in class e2 with rider sascha eckert. there are some interesting details.
it seems to have an rotax engine with fuel injection, tank under the seat, pds with öhlinsshock, marzocchi fork, gear in swingarm axle ...
technical data and price is unknown at the moment.

take a look at the pics:

I have been expecting this bike for awhile..I think we are also looking at the new Harley Davidson- Buell power plant ...maybe more

looks alot like the aprilla dirtbikes with no fram around bottom of engine etc

another interesting bike if it ever sees the light of day as a production bike.

question is will it be priced like bmws other offerings with an eye to keeping it exclusive or will they go for volume sales.

just looked at the original german article and i see what you mean about the sprocket / swing arm spindle alignment.

can't imagine that they are inter-connected. could possibly be that the spindle passes through the rear of the engine without going thru the frame. though this would mean that the rear of the engine would have to be heavily reinforced.
