Good ol Blighty
Just thought after all my voyeurism its time to post and say Hello, Howdy,G/day and tawreet to you guys/gurls .Been road riding fer about 10 years now but got board with spurtsbikes and got my first Berg about three years ago .My current rides are Aprilia Tuono Factory 05 and a FS650e which i ride mainly on the road but do a few track days with ...Did a few S/moto races last year, what a buzz but realized the quick lads were a lot! quicker ... But my moto is" If yer still grinning like a Cheshire cat when you take of yer lid ....Carry on riding"

Ps Having to rebuild my Berg twice (about 3,800 miles /140 hrs ) just like to thank you guys for all th info ive picked up hear .

Gotta go and give my baby a litre off putolines finest now

Thanks Paul[/u]

Having two bikes is the way to go. With the Berg and the Tuono your paddock you have the best of both worlds.

Curious to hear what issues or components precipitated your two motor rebuilds. Broken exhaust valve spring at least once?

i'm afraid he did froggy my ol chum! just look under his post count and you'll see that the saying "there's nowt as blind as those that will not see!" is as true today of people (especially frenchmen) as it ever was.

regards

Taffy

Taffy, you're worse than some of the kids in my care, I swear.

Now he's going to think he joined the loony bin.

well i think it's important he finds out now froggy! jeez! if i don't spook him - oyu sure as hell will! (LOL!)

regards

Taffy

Welcome Paul, how long have you been lurking, sounds like you have been into Bergs for a while? Can I ask, where 'Good Ol Blighty' is please mate?

Taff,
What happened to your signature about talking jibberish? seems to apply here, cos I havent understood a single word!

Azza.

yanks!

and froggy's

donchya just love 'em! i if it isn't a word that you use you can't bend your head around it can ya!

blighty is a word for england/uk and it says it under his nik on the left of the screen.

ABOVE THAT IT SAYS THE DAY HE JOINED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

30th may 2004 and he has placed his first post. thus the comment:"Just thought after all my voyeurism its time to post and say Hello, Howdy,G/day and tawreet to you guys/gurls ."

if a yank (the general use of the word here) says "howdy yowell" where is he from? well in the UK "tawreet" is northern lingo for "are you all right". makes him possibly even a scot.

so between the pair of you ya missed where he's from and when he joined and you call me phuqing mad!

now that is the pot calling the kettle black!

regards

Taffy

You guessed it Taffy , but not quite that far north . From a little place called Wigan , famous for Rugby league , George Orwell and that bloke that played Gandalf ...oh and home to one of the best S/moto tracks in Uk ...les trois slappers
Don't get access to my laptop much as my teenage Step-kid hogs it all the time but will try to corrispond, corespond., ...talk when possible ..
The rebuilds were Just mains failure first time so i replaced all bearings in the cases ,apart from the con-rod big end as their was no sign of wear in it and i did not have access to a crank press....Second rebuild was ........you guessed it Con-rod bearing, even the mechanic at DCR were i took it said it was the first one he had seen on this model .Ha well you learn the hard way sometimes As you noticed Taffy 30 may 04 when i joined ,think that was when i got my first Berg ..Dono why a berg as i new nowt much about them just got fed up of sports bikes .But boy have i had to learn then again i like tinkering in the garage

Thanks for the replies guys
Paul

You are right on there . Only problem is we have had sooooo much rain here lately the Tuono has spent most of its time on paddock stands while my little blue and yellow friend has kept me sane..

Oh and so far original valve springs intact ..Maybe i should not have said that!!!
Cheers

RE: Re: RE: Newbie

Taffy, I know Blighty means Britain, I am not totally ignorant, as well as Taffy is slang for Welsh, I've been in your island a couple times for the Tournament, as well as Ireland.

Thing is, it did not show his location then, and now it does. Okay?

Worse than the kids who like to argue over totally meaningless things.

New2it,
I do not think anyone knew much about Husabergs until you are the proud owner of one and realise how good they are ... and how much work they need to stay that way. {like a wife!} 3 sisters ...I know it well. did the scooter racing there in late '80s on a Lambretta! that is where i served my mechanical apprenticeship before stepping onto RD350s...
Taffy, you are so right about Yanks. in my job we call them SPAMs..heard of that? I think Lefrog is getting a complex!!!

thanks for the free lesson Taff, its appreciated, you have clarified everything and stuff all at the same time!

why is England/Great Britain referred to as Ol Blighty? Ive honestly never come across that one before.

any ways, owzitgoinoldcobber, welcomtomeumbleabode, avernicedayden.

Cheers!

Azza.
