Hi from the alps, twisting roads without an end. Looking for Supermoto and focussing in a FS 570 2011
Problem is the pricing and i need advice. I will go 2000 km really twisty roads and some karttracks a year and like something special and nice to keep long time. Here you See KTM and BMW GS everywhere......

A nice fs 570 cost arround 7000 nearly the same as 5 years ago and a 1 year old 701 you get at 8500 eur. So 7 year old vs 1 year old with Abs and a Bad running lean eur4 engine......
What do you think.......seems that Berg getting more expensive year by year.

Ciao benvenuto ...If you choosing supermoto to go for some long journey around the mountain 701 or 690 might be the choice but for 2000k a year the 570 could have some upper hand it's still a lot reliable and it's light ...I am sure you can find some for cheap maybe around the 5k Mark in good condition ...

Both 701 and 570 sems to have a low depreciation factor ...a friend of mine is looking for a 690 and most are still 2k/ 2.5k lower then a new one

Some gas gas I see on sale new are 7k and the next year are half the price

As much as I like my 570, I’d go the 701 at $1,500 more.

Hi guys, yes KTM 690 smcr is crazy expensive. 6 year old 25000 km 8000 Euro, this is more than New price 2011......701 looks nice and will be the " better" buy but to make it run nicely you need to spent money to remap the EFI, buy an expensive Street legal exhaust etc. Some complain about brakes and suspension and compare the 701 with ans naked bike for tge road. I Bad a KTM 950 sm which was a realky nice bike for the road but somewhat boring in the end. Missing some exitement when opening the Garage....know what i mean?
Alternative would be the SWM 500 the copy/rebirth of Husqvarna 510 but i assume the Berg built by KTM is a lot more quality

I like the Berg community a lot the husaberg Club in germany and this forum is completly different from KTM 690 Hooligans who only wheelie down City roads.....

It's all up to you on witch to actually chose ...I saw some swm 500 in the last few months and they are pretty good
They are not as good as the husquarna smr 450 or Tm but they have a really good price / quality

Swm it's doing well in the supermoto (it's a good bike), if you have time go to a local dealer have a look at it

I would personally take the 570 over the 701/690 (but saying that I to-tally want a 701). I basically prefer the fewer kilograms of the 570. The 70-degree motor Husaberg handling really is magic too, especially on the street.

What do the 570 FE bikes cost over there? Signfiicantly than the supermoto? If the market is a bit weird and the FS bikes cost more than they're worth, then maybe an FE conversion would be worth it. Can do it little by little too. It's not like the FE is any slouch on the street even on knobbies!!

FE are 2500 less but ofcourse often used in the dirt whereas FS are either raced and not Street legal anymore or well kept. I looking at one with 85 hrs from 2010 still with the first fronttire and optical Like New condition......for 7500. A lot converted fe are in the range of 6000. The FS is much easier to keep streetlegal here in italy/germany die to all this stupid regulation.....we need approval by TUEV for everything Luke wheels, brakes , exhausts etc ......

Greeting to iceland was there with my Jeep cj7 in summer 1990.........still remember Every singl km of this adventure......

(I know where you coming from by saying italian/cinese) but It's not like a cinese pit bike ...they are pretty good
Even have have look at the older model at the dealer they should be about the same

It's all up to you... the husaberg and swm, they would me more towards a light race bike with lights and still really good realibility

Ktm 690 and 701 are more for fun riding, perfect reability but a bit heavy

Yours the choice:)

Yes i am german who moved to italy, to southtyrol. I worked with Italien and chinese companies the last 20 Years....the swm husky looks nice and i like to support such New company, so first i will wait for the New models infortunately all swm 500 RS are sold out and swm likes to Export the bikes because oft the vomplicated eu4 regulations........
Husaberg i like the clever engine design and it is nice to know that all plarts are still available. It is interestong if i ASK italians they prefer BMW and KTM and germans like Ducati and huski.....
