Hi all,

Just thought I'd say hello as I've just bought a 2005 FE450e and I'm v pleased because its awesome!!

I spent many an hour trawling thorough this site picking up some really good information so thanks - its an invaluable source to quieten down the 'berg scare-mongering, and hopefully I will be able to add a bit of worth every now & then....

(I've got a KTM 300exc as well but try not to hold that against me!!)

Cheers - Fatlad

Hi Fatlad,

be welcome here and have a lot of fun with your new Berg.
I´m sure you will. :D

best regards
Hribman

Hey Fatlad, what's happening from the good old U.S. of A. from the proud newbie owner of a new Fe450e and also very humbly a raging Ktm 300xc...may our paths not meet in this forum of technological discourse...Cheers and Beers1

hey fatlad!

welcome!

did the fact that pope-ey is on your doorstep influence you in anyway?

regards

Taffy

Thanks Hribman, and ragman - yep the 300exc is a bit of a beastie but they only go as fast as you twist the throttle!

Taffy - your spot on, I use Trevor Pope for my KTM parts etc and they are a helpful and knowledgeable dealer - and as they are now official Husaberg dealers it made the decision to go to a 'berg instead of being a 450exc drone all the more easier!!

Got my first outing on the 450 at the Reading MCC Hare and hounds on the 22nd so I'm looking forward to putting it through its paces as the course is 'uber' fast with lots of places to open it up.

Cheers guys
Fatlad

Taffy - yeah its the race at Ashdown Farm, its probably about 30mins past Wantage on the 'ridgeway' that you can see as your driving up the A34. Good motox track as part of the course, v big hills!!

Have you been up there before? You have to go down a single track badly broken up road for about a km to get to the site so strap you bike up tight!!

yes mate i've raced there some 6-7 times and everything is as you say. i just love the roller coaster deep dive! there aren't many of them out there un enduro heaven are there! (LOL!!!!)

i always do a south reading on the satuirday followed by a CHEC on the sunday. you haven't lived till you've done the 'lane end' with CHEC.

just try it mate!

regards

Taffy

Blimey Taffy I've not that much energy - two races on the bounce!!

Where is the CHEC event then? I will have a look on enduronews later...

Are you doing the Reading event on the 22nd? If you are let me know your race no. and I will tip my hat to you.....

ha ha!

i met an olfd girlfriend last august year and booked a guest house. shagged her all night (she's a nymph!) and then went to butts quarry the next day and did a straight 4-hour ironman and came 2/15 in the O40s.

if i tell gruntenberg that he'll be even more pissed off with me!

i then drove 180 miles home, had some "more" slept for an houtr and then did the sunday night quiz with my mates!

debs told the girls that i'd raced for 4 hours: "really! how many races was that!"

no a straight 4 hours!"

"so how many times did he stop?"

"he didn't!"

"what not even once?"

she said later that she daren't tell the girls about the 'extras' it would have seemed implausable!

that was a phuqin good weekend!

regards

Taffy

Taffy that's legendary stuff mate!!

I did a few H&H with hangovers last year and vowed never again after number 2 - the pain is too great anyway let alone magnified by beer & lack of sleep. I gotta say that you had a more than valid reason for sacrificing kip though!!
