Hello I have just purchased a fe 501 2004. On the test ride all was well.
After I vanned it home it would run but pull back on acceleration does any one think this is fuel problems should i strip and clean carb. Also it wont start on hot start, only by kick.Ihave a manual with it but the carb is different to manual.Mine has no throttle sensor or acceleration valve, might it be a earlier carb ? .It has a newish battery with three light charge indicator on it which is showing three lights Any comment gratefully rec

whato Gozzo and welcome to UHE!

the TPS are very expensive when they break so often don't get replaced. the cheapest supplier are Yamaha at about £90. when you say it won't start on the 'hot start', do you really mean the electric starter?

this is not unusual. there is a fuel screw underneath at the front middle of the carb that can be adjusted. the original is difficult to get too so most fit an extended 'knob' pilot screw for adjustability.

you're flat spot is likely grit or **** in the carb. I'd give it a good clean and the float bowl will be awful! reverse blow-out all the galleries with all the jets out and re-fit.

a 2004 FE501e is one of the finest bikes Husaberg made. and they are rare. you didn't get it from kent did you?

cheers
