Hint.
You are supposed to ask questions and research before you buy.
You can start with "the owners doc" even though it is biased more towards the 01 and up machines.

Lucky for you the 2000 FE400 was pretty good. SEM stators and soft valve seats probably being the biggest issues.
Alot of parts may still be available from dealers.

i did do research and ask questions before i brought just not on this forum just found this site yesterday just thought maybe you guys would know better than others.

i read the owners doc it helped me fix my lean bogging problem (who ever took the time to write all that is awesome  )

You can thank Taffy for the Owner's Doc and maddel for putting into wiki form. Both guys put tons of hours into making it what it is today.

Tons of people consider the 2000 to be the best of both worlds with the 2001 style frame and the 99 style engine, which was considered much more bulletproof.

welcome to UHE fella!

drop me a line for anything you need, i'll put you onto anyone and everyone. we could do with your location although at a guess i'd say eastern europe?

regards

Taffy
