New tire sure makes a difference...

...two weeks ago I was supposed to go riding with my boss. He picked me up, went down the street to get gas and air, only to find my tire was flat. Damn!!! (still haven't ridden with him :angry2: )

Ordered a new 756, NICE!!! Makes a boatload of difference. Now I have a rooster tail. Front end washes out more noticably though...

Went to start her; tired leg, I tell you what. The atmospheric conditions changed since I last road. I was cooler and drier, now it's warm and humid. Hence the tired leg. Adjusted the carb, kicked it about 60 times, finally got it right. Started.

Now I am noticing that when I gas it from low RPM's, I bogging. Give it a quick twist off throttle, then back on again, and it's okay. I have read that this issue might be a mal-adjusted float. I haven't yet gotten into playing with the jets, but it seems to be strong otherwise. Does anyone agree this would be a good place to start?

Another note: any of you Brit's heard of "The Streets" (band). Makes me want to ride, puts me in a good mood!!!!

the old carbs are (apparently) well known for wearing all those brass bits (+ the needle-correction-ESPECIALLY the needle!) inside.

when my bike bogged i would set the fuel screw (not the idle screw) + or - 1/4 turn or even 1/2 turn.

if that doesn't do it and you have checked the float, washed and blown everything out-try lifting the needle for the summer.
