Hey Crew,

Here's my new ride, the venerable 2011 FS 570. It's my "upgrade" from my recently sold FS 650...

I picked it up in the weekend and quickly went to work swapping out the consumables and replacing the chain and sprockets, (it's now running 15/45)

I've put about 15 hours on it already and love it! Nicest bike I've ever ridden.

Lots has been discussed about the similarities of the two SuMo's so no need to tread the same ground again, but performance aside, I am very happy with some of the more "civilian" features on the 570 that make it more of an everyday bike, which is what I need it to be. By far the best alternative to KTM SMC without having to compromise on a) extra bloat b) owning a KTM ;)

There's nothing more I need to do to it for now, but would love some advice on the To-Do list, if you guys know of any key concerns?

Maybe a new in-line fuel filter as I hear they get clogged up? I'd love the FMF full exhaust, but it seems like a pretty pricey "upgrade"...

It's coming into spring down here, so can't wait to spend some more hours on it in the coming months.

NZ Crew - I hope to catch up with you guys soon!

Cheers!

Hey Lads. Cheers. I'm pretty damn happy. Rode home the long way last night; (CBD via Scenic Drive to Birkenhead - for all the JAFA's out there)

That ZARD is pretty cool. I just checked their site Zardexhaust: FE i.e./SMR 450/570

Buying anything in NZ is expensive as we have to pay huge postage and tax to import everything... That pipe would be almost $900 NZD by the time it landed... (10% of the bike cost:eek:)

The FMF is not quite as sexy, but about half that price and sadly money is an issue :(

Was thinking I might get more enjoyment out of a Rekluse clutch, than a pipe. For now, just happy getting familiar with the bike.

@Bitsa - keen to finally catch up! Hoping to ride this weekend if the weather holds out. I'll PM you my deetz
