Not a lo0t has come out of them as far as tuning goes so far. i believe there are some big bore kits somewhere and others will fill you in on that. I have looked at the valves and they appear to be still using the conical single springs on each valve.

without checking it yet i will take it that they are the same set up as of old. I do a DVSK that saves power on the valve train. I look forward to following your results.

others here will tell you what else is about.

regards

Taffy

the engine is something like 95% ktm so its a good bet than most ktm performance mods are likely to be of use. obvious gotta check before just sticking it in.

exhaust wise there are a few companies doing silencers pus 07 onwards ktm silencers will fit. front pipe i think there is only akrapovic and possibly LeoVince doing them.

braking. again most things that will fit a ktm will fit the bergs

suspension wise. aint goimg to comment as there is alot of info from people who know more about the subject already here

hi,
my team mate raced the 09' 450 for some time.

we used complete brembo radial brake system , using the brembo radial fork boot, brembo 4 pot radial caliper and 16mm x 18 radial master cylinder.

suspension lowered - revalved to suit race needs.

front end prooved to be very very unstable at tracks with many kilometers at the end of the straight, so i set the offset to the smaller one (i think it was a 20-22 clamps so i set it to 20) and raised the triple clamps as much as possible.

we also had problems with the rear tire touching the silencer.

engine was a bit dissapointing for this use as it is an enduro engine and not a motocross unit.
we fitted acrapovic slip-on to assist but this engine i think needs more serious mods to become competitive.

generally it had amazing turning abilities, poor engine blast , stability issues and the result is now my team mate rides a 505 xcf ...

as for me i still cant find a match for my beloved bike!

Great to see a new Berg in supermoto competition.
I was at my local Berg dealer just before Christmas while they were sorting out an FS570.
At that stage they had some good results after changing the stock ignition (gained 1000rpm alone) bored out the throttle body 1mm and were about to fit a full akra.

Good luck this year, I'm looking forward to following your results.

Do you have a link for Bergos please, and also the 2010 570 is an out and out superm oto not the enduro version

we will be running factory forks and shock
ackro exaust
suter slipper
ice quickshifter
beringer front brake
factory brembo rear
marchessini rims
beringer clutch master cylinder
devtech swing arm

engine mods will develop and let you all know what we have done.

we are just waiting for the bikes off ktm uk as soon as we have them i will post pics and reports.
