Just bought a 2011 FS570 with 8,200 miles. First ride today tailight lense fell off and I smell coolant after 40 miles. Not feeling so great about my purchase.

Well the taillight is probably fragile to begin with - being a dirtbike - and just one wheelie on part of the PO could have mangled it a little so I wouldn't worry TOO much about that ..
But smelling coolant isn't great I guess? See any hints as to where it might be? (The weephole fix not having been performed maybe? That would be relatively easy to correct ...)

The tailight I'm ok with I needed an excuse to buy something other than the stock brick of a tailight. I got what I feel is a good deal $5300 I was just hoping it wasn't because it's having problems
I don't know what the weep hole thing is. I just looked and believe it might have come from an overflow tube. I spit on the head after a ride and it didn't boil and steam so maybe I'm ok and just weary because I know nothing about husaberg.
It has some black rubber button on the handlebar, I googled it and looks like a map button. I'm afraid to mess with it as I don't know what's programmed in there and don't want to hurt it.
The previous owner might have changed the coolantfluid fluid before he sold it to you, and then just filled it all the way up.
Not sure if this makes any sense to you guys.

Make sure it has a cooling fan installed. If not, buy one (try Cyclebuy.com) and install it. Go through all of the nuts and bolts and lok-tite everything - a 570 single vibrates, and the vibrations loosen things.
I have an SR570 - on tight corners it can't be beat. I prefer it over my Ducati Hypermotard and KTM 950SMR because it turns in so well. If you can get to the Million Dollar Highway in Colorado, or Pike's Peak Highway, you'll never regret your purchase. Don't expect it to be a highway cruiser or a commuter, although it will work for both - it just isn't designed for that. You might want to go with a higher pressure radiator cap, and wrapping the exhaust can help. Off road (on my FE) a tank cover also helps with the heat, which can cause the gas to vaporize. I could buy a new bike, but I really like the 70 degree Hbergs. The handlebar switch sounds like it is a map switch - press it and see if the bike runs differently; you can't hurt anything. Good luck with your new bike - I really love mine!

I have over 350 hrs on my 390. It has the smellof coolant most of the time, but leaks very little(unexplainable...) I think it's usually because i overfill it. It needs to be just over the fins (although ktm recommends 10mm over). Check it from time to time, but it is generally just overflow. +1 on the fan kit..
Don't overfill the oil either. 2/3 maximum or you will end up with overflow in your airbox.
Lots of grease around air filter mounting surface and be careful that it mates well with the airbox...(tight space)
slipstream gas screen +1
make sure that seat is hooked in correctly....(should mate with handle grip towards rear of seat, no bulging)
rear tails section screw...always loosening (metal to plastic subframe)
throttle to cable is super sensitive (will break if you look at it wrong, plastic)
Remedy. turn throttle inward , towards the rider...
Stock bulb...weak.
Other than that... I love my bike.
