An informal forum was held tonight to guage the interest in setting up a recreational club in Charters Towers. The Charters Towers Regional Council ( CTRC ) has offered a 350 hectare parcel of land with the aim towards setting up a riding park. If you live in North Queensland and are interested please express your interest here as we are aiming to incorporate the club within a fortnight to begin creating a proposal to the CTRC. We expect to start as a recreational riding space with the view to creating at least one 15 km competitive enduro loop, this will be in conjunction with speedway/ 1/4 mile facillities on an adjacent parcel of land. If you live in Townsville or surounding areas and want to ride for fun we would appreciate hearing from you, recreational riding areas are becoming scarce and we have a great opportunity to secure an area that will not only benefit us but the future generations.
