Hi all,

My name is Hendrik, I've transplanted myself from the Netherlands to Durham, north Carolina. I've been lugging around my FJ1200 for a few years now, and I'm in desperate need of a new toy. I've gotten it in my head that a husaberg should be my new bike.
I'll probably want to run it as a supermoto on the street, and keep a dirt setup for the dusty stuff.

So while this post is my introduction, please check the bike wanted ads. hopefully someone'll be able to help me out.

Thanks

Hendrik

RE: New member here, no berg yet

You're a lot closer to where I used to be. There's an fc600 for sale here, but i'm quite sure i'd not be able to plate that in NC. I've considered it and swapping in an fe501 frame, but i'd still have to deal with an MSO, and lighting coils etc.

And I don't even know if I could kick it over with my left foot... :)

RE: New member here, no berg yet

I think the trick with Berg ownership is to buy it first then worry about starting second.

Well, Ownership is taken care of! Now Starting will indeed be an issue. It's a bit of a fixxer, and I'm definately going to need a stator. Any reccomendations there?

Thanks

Contact "sparks" he is a member, or click on the "UK Motoplat" banner at the top of the page.
He does a quality rewind, better than new.

Can't do a rewind, because there's no stator at all. I've been trying to find a source here in the US, but no luck so far.

This is the bike I got (ebay item 190280889556) Not much info there, seems like a pre 99 model. (I'm not very knowledgeable about years and types).

Thanks Husabutt. Don't have the VIN yet, but looking at the single downtube, from what I gather, it's a '93 or older.
