Thought i had better tip my cap and say hello. Just joined the Husaberg club with the purchase of 650 supermoto. Looks a bit tatty at the moment and cant wait to pull it to pieces and tidy it up. Only riden it a couple of times so far and still smiling.

Welcome Petorius,

You should be in good company over THERE in Blighty,
Seems to be a bit of a gathering buildin up over there,
usually plenty of hints and tips about,
I think I'm here on my own here in Ireland, have to go out with KTM riders!!!
Gerry.

I always enjoy my visits to Ireland, i was in Limerick a few weeks ago. I think your roads are much more SM than sports bike!

Thanks for the welcome, chaps

Mark

welcome to the club. look out for the force ride to IOM next year. there is a recce going up there in october. but that is all enduro. my in laws are from your neck of the woods. have you seen many/any bergs up there?

This is definately a Berg free zone arond here in fact not many SMs in general just the odd KTM, seems like the biggest areas seem to be in the north east, Lancashire and Kent. Had to travel up to Liverpool to buy mine. Could well be up for a trip next year all being well. No doubt i shall be logging a few posts as i have a few concerns and could benefit from some experience. Just dying to pull it apart and get it looking spanking but with the weather being so good i just have to ride it.

Petorius,
yeah, SM not very popular down here. everyone has a road race replica or enduro bikes. the North has DCR on its doorstep so would account for most of the Husabergs up ther. also there is the 3 sisters track in/near Wigan. it used to be £6 to book 3 sisters for an hour. so you can thrash bikes around there. i prefer the damp weather for road driving...the cold air keeps the engine cooler and i like a bit of SM slide...i watch far too much speedway!!! so try to do my own road version!

Hi Mark,
Yeah roads down south ca be a bit on the rough side,Limerick's a good 180 mile from me,been down there a few times but not on the bike..Just have have my Husa 400 a month or so,I had to go over to Liverpoool for it also,I rode a 650 here on a test ride but it was a bucket X field bike, He was looking more than i paid for mine with Full MOT/TAX Supermoto wheels and offroad wheels! Gerry.

guys,
that is the problem... if you road teast the Husaberg..it is such a rideable/fast bike that it sells it self, once ridden forever smitten. these bikes are outstanding! the machine can take any average rider and get him through the technical sections by sheer power alone!

Ahh so you must be a Pirates fan then Scouser? I often go to the speedway at Coventry although not much this year. Used to be a grasstracker myself, quite temped by the flat track series.

Welcome Petorius

I live about 3 miles from the much raved about 3 Sisters ..However its not open much just ocasional test days and obvious race events ..Great Track though . We have a small cart track at Preston Dock which is good for a blast And as mentioned before the man himself DCR is only 20 min from me so its NOT ALL GRIM UP NORTH !!!
