New husa FE390

Hey huys,

I am a proud new owner of the 2011 FE390 and cant wait to take it on some long trips.
I obviously did my research on the bike before buying it, But I was hoping to get any feedback good or bad from other current owners on how they have found the bike so far.
I would love to know of any issues that you guys have found that could save me any headaches in the future when I am in the middle of no where!!

Any feedback would be appreciated!!

Happy riding :D

Congrats on the bike.
I recently brought a used 2012 FE390 with 2850km/75hrs on the clock and am getting it out tomorrow for first ride. Been busy with a bit of maintenance, greased swingarm, headstem, replaced lower shock bearing, bled brakes and changed oil. Also noticed the factory frame guards rub paint off underneath, so if yours has those fitted I'd check it out.

where in florida are you! I have a 2011 390 that I have had for about 1.5 yrs. No problems so far except the fuel pump quit at about 130 hrs. Checked the valves at about 120 hrs and they were spot on. I change my oil every 10 hrs with mobil 1 synthetic 15-50. I put the stainless oil filter in it. I love the bike and plan on riding her for about 2 or 3 more yrs. By then hopefully Husky will have changed to doing their own thing and not using KTM stuff but be like Husaberg was a few yrs back and developing cutting edge stuff!

if you plan on going 65+ for extended periods, get a smaller rear sprocket or a larger front. Don't fill the oil more than 2/3 up the sight glass. If you lose oil, chances are you will find it in the airbox because of overfilling and/or riding over 65 for extended periods of time. 350+ hrs on mine and can't kill it. Best 4 stroke on the planet IMO. Ran motorex for 3 seasons, then switch to castrol 10-50. Running fine and half the price... Its what most dealerships are selling in austria(been there) 22 euros there, 7 bucks a quart in the states.
