Hello Forum!
I`m new here, a german Biker, 43 years old, living in NRW.
First, sorry for my bad english...
In this week I`ve make a little dream come true and I`ve bought me a used Husaberg FS 650s... 8)
I`ve no experience neither with SuperMoto nor with Husaberg. I´m driving a japanese 2 Zylinder (Yamaha TRX 850) since 7 years and for long years a 500ccm japanese Enduro.

So, of course, now I`ve a lot of questions about the Husaberg. But in Germany I didn`t found a forum, this is the only I`ve found per internet.
Difficult for me to write all questions in english, to read and understand the answers. I think, it would be good, first to look here for Husaberg-Driver, speaking, writing german, who has interest to contact me here or per mail for example. It would be very glad. Otherwise I have to try to ask the hole questions in english…..uah...
So, thx, Stefan

Thank you John, good to hear...

was sonst noch?

Hm, ok, first round is finished....the other questions can wait...

1. mein handbuch hat deutsche, englische, italienische sprache, u.a.

2. is that 200km fahrt vom handler the erste fahrt auf dem rad? or is it already 'broken-in'? There should not be any hitzproblem at road speeds. that usually only happens when going very very slowly (no air to the radiators).

oh, here's a semi english translation in case someone smarter than me wants to help with the stuff i'm not expert in.

1. I'm looking for the owner's manual in german, and ideally a workshop manual in german.

2. I have to drive 200 km from the dealer to my house next week. Is there anything special I need to pay attention to on such a trip? Can there be an overheating problem? Will I have to add oil along the way?

3. How much oil do they use?

4. What kind of oil should I use, anyway? The dealer things I should use full synthetic.

Hello!
Ups, i have a Husaberg FS650e, with Light and E-starter for street. It`s from 2003. I will never drive Race or anything else, the Berg is only for my fun in City, killing BigBikes on Landstrasse....
Maybe better to know.

1. ok, but where can i get this one for example?
2. It`s my first ride, from dealer (ktm) to home, 200Km. And i`m a little bit nervous, you know. So I think, to drive only little street/Landstrasse without Highway. And so nothing to look for i think now.
3. Fine, so no "hitzeproblem". And logical, by changing the oil often, there is no Ölverbrauch.
4. By driving "normely", means no race etc., the periods to change oil, checke the ventile can be longer? And is there anything other, that should be controlled often? Water for the motor, liquid for brakes for example?

Your german is not bad velo. Where/why did you learned?

ich wohnte 6 1/2 jahre in Augsburg (sudbayern) waehrend den Kaltkrieg (is that a word?).

On that ride home from the dealer, you'll want to vary the speeds, and don't rev the engine too much. stay off the highway as much as possible and change the oil and filter when you get home.

Called „Kalter Krieg“ / „...während des Kalten Krieges...“
Oh, it`s long time ago, The Kalter Krieg endet 1990 I `ve read.

Ok, I thought like as you now differently wrote, thx.
And now, i`ll arrive home in good way next week I think.....
Then there will surely come more questions....

Very nice pic on Your HP, especielly the nature-pics. I only can dream of here in the industriell area…

Nice weekend, Stefan

Dear member Husazwerg!

Welcome indeed to UHE!

Oh, I wish I had used my 9 years of German classes! I understand you, but can´t write or talk any... It´s been too long!

I´m Swedish, and just want to say that this is the place where you will find the best information and the best people in the Husaberg Sphere!

There are a bunch of German members. I can only think of member Hribman for now, but he is a guy that has a lot of experience with Husabergs. Go to the Members List on the left, find him and PM him (Personal Message). I´m sure he will be able to give some advice along with our members who try so bravely... :D

Like I said, Ich verstehe perfectly, but can´t do ANY better than Velosapiens. My hat off to Velo. Much better than me, still my language is of germanian descent... :notworthy:

/Peter

Hello Peter!
First much thx for the nice welcome from you.
So it seems to be here a very nice, helpfull husa-people-place, so i think, when i try to read other postings here.
I have the hope, that here german members, but till now nobody dive up…. . sniff.
But surely I `ll contact Hribman.
9 years german in school, normely in sweden? Not or? Can`t believe.
Your english is good, now my hat off.
But when you try with a german dictonary, first success come soon!
My time, I need for tipping in english here become smaller and smaller…. :nerd:
Nice day, Stefan

For some quick answers just give me call:

I will be at the office until about 15:00...

Also feel free to send a private message.

Owners manual '03: http://www.husaberg.se/EN/downloads/5125.zip
Parts manual '03: http://www.husaberg.se/EN/downloads/5127.zip
There sees to be only the English versions.

Owners manual '02 (German): http://www.husaberg.se/EN/downloads/5129.zip

Greetz, Maddel

Hi Maddel!
Thx a lot :hello1:
Think will contact you per privat message, saw your pics and have some questions at once… :D
Telephone is a very nice offer, but I hope, in next time, nothing will be so urgent, that I have to….
Hm, the Owner`s and Parts Manual from 2003 in English I will get with the bike in a few days. But i don`t want also even take the dictonary to the garage...
And just now I found on the Husaberg-Side the Manuals in German, but from 2005.
Are there a lot of change in these 2 years?
And I think, the 2002er Manual is not the same as 2003, cause things were changed in the motor, or?

And Maddel, one another question please:
Which Husaberg-Dealer do you contact for service, parts or problems?

What a pity, that the way to marburg is so long… .

Ok, greetings from Dortmund, Stefan

The differences between the 2003 and 2005 models are quite significant!
The '05s are - let's say - some kind of another bike...
On the other hand the changes between '02 and '03 are not that drastic.
I think the German '02 owners manual is a good starting point.
It will also help a lot to translate the English '03 version.
Here's a link to a nice online dictionary: http://dict.leo.org/

Concerning the 200km bike transfer:
A strait line is the snake in the grass for a SuperMoto.
German: Eine Gerade ist der geheime Feind einer SuperMoto.
Be careful with high revs. Because of the Berg's "short" transmission
ratio you will reach 9000rpm very easy for longer periods if you ride
it like a normal street bike...

My dealer: http://www.schleenbecker-moto.de/
Lothar Schleenbecker is a very experienced Husaberg-Enduro and MX
"veteran". He's also very competent with the Berg's suspension
and engine setup and tuning. Last but not least he is a very kind
guy...

Ok, thx.
Now i`ve found a dealer, where i can buy german "Handbuch" 2003 in three language (the same as the owners Manual?) for 20 €. Think i`ll buy.

Do you think it would be good to install a rev counter and/or an instrument for oilor watertemperatur? Think you like it more pure, when i see your pics. ;O)
You take Super plus?
Stefan

I prefer lightweight. Actually my FSe is a "street legal" :D FSc...
Curious about the new TÃœV emission analysis :?
For non Germans: TÃœV means Technical Inspection Authority

Once you're more familiar with your Berg you may notice that it's
not essential to have a rev-counter etc.

Concerning fuel: Super+ is recommended. I use 100 octane super.

When will you pick up your Berg?

Hi, finally, i`ve got the papers yesterday after waiting 1 week nervously.
So, I hope I get the register to the Husa today, so I can go to the dealer in Limburg/Lahn tomorrow and drive home with my Husa, yeah. I`m very excited yet…. .
Stefan
P.S. Wrote a pn to you.

Hello and welcome here at UHE!

Well, it's quite funny to write in english from German to German, but okay...

Regarding your questions, here are some answers:

The type of oil your dealer recomended is okay. I use 10W-50 from Louis called Procycle, which is manufactured by Pentosin and good quality. Under normal conditions I change it every 10 hours, filter every second time. Valve adjustment, well I try to do it also every 10 hours, but mostly it's a bit longer.

One thing to care about:
After every wash or riding at rainy weather or trough water you should open the ignition cover on the right side of the engine and drain the water out. Let Lichtmaschine und Polrad (i forgot the right expressions...) dry and cover everything with silicone spray to prevent it from corrosion.

The ride back from the dealer is no problem, as already said stay away from the highways and try not to stay too long at high revs. At the other side, I think your backend will be the main problem, not the Berg...

Another hint: If you have problems with english, there's a german forum called www.offroadforen.de. It's by far not as Berg-specific as here, but there are also some "Bergers" you can ask and surely will hel you. My nicknane there is TioPepe by the way.

Hello Mountie and thanks for your tipps. Yes, the Km made my backend very good feeling... , The Offroadforum i`ve also found, my name there ist Skudo.
Ok, mybee we meet also there...., Stefan

hallo leute,

hab hier lange nicht rein geschaut ... aber mich gibts natürlich auch noch ...
bin dann doch mehr im offroadforum unterwegs da es mir hier sehr schwer fällt mich durch das "technische englisch" zu wühlen.
