Hello everyone , hope you are doing well.
About two months ago i bought a 2007 husaberg FS 650 E , in good condition at a seemingly good price . Not gonna lie to anyone , it was my teenage dream this bike so i'm pretty stoked. The bike was in good nick over all , no accidents or damage anywhere but it needed tyres , and the suspension felt a bit harsh. I suspected that has never been serviced so i took it for a full susp service front and rear, put new tyres , changed the coolant , pads(sbs rsi), brake fluid ,and did the oil and filter . The bike runs and rides great now i can't believe how easy it is to ride quickly through the corners.
As you can see , i'm loving it really right now ,but i want your help to address the elephant in the room , an that is th engine. Currenlty is clocking 530 hrs , I do the old oil change (done 3 so far)every 5hrs with 15w-60 300v (Greek summer ) and there is no issues to write about, starts on the button , no oil consumption , the oil comes out clean with very few and small rouindish metal shavings and everything works. As far as the previous owner said it has been oped up once by the first owner not him. I'm thinking about a future rebuild so I need your advice here.
A)What are the signs that "is time" ?
B)What parts should defenetly be on the list ? rod ? piston ? liner?
C) What kind of fixes or "upgrades " for reliability have you found over the factory solutions ?(as the dual valve springs for example)
Thanks in advance.
