New Fe570 owner

Hi all, I am now the proud owner of a 2011 fe 570. I've had an Yamaha it490 and thought it time to move on and see what everyone is talking about. Have had one ride and am thrilled with how it went. Since then though I am experiencing some problems so like my It, thought I would get on a forum and ask if anyone else has had a similar drama.
as I said I took it out for a ride, came home washed it then rode it into the shed. Next day went to fire it up an drool. Would not start. The bink fault code that was showing is not on the fault registar so just used common sense and worked out that the fuel pump was not priming when I was trying to start it.checked the pump to see if it was getting power, yes 6 volts.
The blink code is one long blink and then one short blink,as I was going riding on the weekend I got my mechanic to put a new fuel pump in hoping it would fix it, no luck.
Has anyone had anything like this that I could try.

Gday and welcome. Check your earths, 6 volts is not enough for the fuel pump, the pump is controlled directly by the ecu. Also the power relay does not stay latched for long enough for a full code to be flashed if the motor is not running. A kato dealer with the xc1 diagnostic tool would be handy.
 
Thanks Berglsmerg, found the problem to be a broken wire in the loom under the fuel tank. Replaced the fuel pump anyway, runs like a cut snake.
Looking forward to taking it out next week.
