My wife and I went to the local bike / sled shop today they are just getting started within the last six months or so. they are however a branch of one of the larger dealerships in the area. The manager, Joe said we have 15 new Bergs coming in Tuesday or Wednesday all models. He sounded interested in taking on GasGas if there is enough interest also.
I wish all the guys at N.H. MOTORSPORTS in Rindge N.H. the best of luck.

P.S. They are 5 Minutes from my house.

Hey guys it has come to my attention that Husabergler (Ryan) will not be making it to Moab due to his daughter's cheerleading squad qualifing for the NATIONAL Championship ! Please join me in wishing them much sucess. Ryan is a great guy that with out knowing me from adam, sent me a Trail Tech computer clear across the country and waited for me to fit it to my bike and check operation before getting any money! This is a fantastic site with the highest caliber people I have had the pleasure to meet(so to speak) You tell that girl of yours to GO GET EM !!! we'll blow the froth off a couple of coldies at Moab for you.

Hey everyone. My name is Joseph, and I'm stoked to be here. We're a small but intense franchise here in south-western NH. I'm a total four stroke guy, and a bit of a vintage nut. Husabergs caught my eye years ago and I kind of watched their history as a spectator untill now.

Don and Lisa Little (DLL Motorsports) have the foresight to recognise that real enthusiasm comes from excitement about the machine. They own the company better known as Keene Motorsports (keenemotorsports.com)- yes a shameless plug, and this company owns the new NH Motosports. That's where I come in.

I have Ski Doo and Can-Am for sleds and ATV's and I needed some bikes. Moto-cross and Enduro are our real passions... and hobbies around here. (along with sleds and atv's, don't get me wrong... cool toys rule!) anyway... the question of what to do to fill our bike jones?... That's where Husaberg comes in...

I'm gonna sell Husabergs!, How cool is that! (And I have a dealer plate!) I get to play with them!!! And I'll have to learn all about them, that's where you guys come in...

Anyway, I'm glad to be here!

Joseph,

Welcome! Welcome!...in our small town environment Bergs dont fly off the shelf, however, if you work hard, and do demo rides, pretty soon you will notice a bunch of blue and yellow mixed in with the orange. They are great bikes, just most people here dont know the brand, so we are starting from scratch for most customers....we average 1-2 bikes per month and they are catching on...they have great selling points too...any questions, please, dont hesitate to ask...this forum is good as well as direct email contact...GOOD BERGing to yah...

By the way, we post demo articles on our web site, so please feel free to peruse, pass the site address along and ask any questions.

Thanks, Kurt @ Bike Barn Motorcycles, LLC, Medford, OR

couple of things to remember on this forum...dont let some of the guys rattle your cage and remember, humble is GOOD...

Welcome aboard NHHusaberg,
Good to see a dealer in the northeast.Another vintage nut as well..From Keene ,you must have a Rokon??

AHH Rocon now there's a true offroad weapon. The trailblazer way before the Christini. I had the pleasure of being in the original facility in Jaffrey N.H. many times before the company was sold. Still a few around in back yards.

It is true, Moab is out for me this year. However maybe a east coast or even a N.E. ride this summer. We now have a dealer with enthusiasm. I have enough riding to occupy a weekend and enough land for a good size bunch of guys to camp for free and I bet Joe and Don Little could swing us a day at Winchester Speed Park Home of the New England Regional Championships. With demo rides. I might be able to get John Dowd there as this is a home track for him and he does riding schools. If there is enough interest in this .We can start a dedicated thread.

Kind regards, Ryan

I just got my first big box of start-up parts stuff. (Funky levers) There's a lot of orange here!, and a lot of things that I recognise too ;-) The shift pedal is just a pretty casting, and I really like the stock grips. (I'm so tired of renthal!).
I'll let you know when the units arrive. It's like I'm a kid waiting for Easter candy I'd get from that Great aunt from the old country; -you know it's gonna be sweet, but it's also going to be really ornate and complex. A treat on more than one level. Husaberg is like that. I can't wait.

Thanks for the welcome.

Joseph

Joseph,

Any new bikes yet ? Atomic Punk ( another member of this site) and myself will be stopping over on Friday. Set a 42 tooth sprocket aside for me.

Cheers, Ryan

This is very true, be the dealer they all wish they had before. When I considered buying a Husaberg the dealer I go too sat with me for 3 hours after closing time to talk to me about Husabergs. The following weekend he let me ride the bike for a bit and I was sold. I ended up buying an used '03 from him but was confident that I would not be disappointed, and I haven't been. I was sold on the quality of the dealer as much as the bike. The guy has always been helpful and even drove 200 miles on a Thursday night after closing shop to deliver break pads to me, (Long story), while I was on a 5 day ride just to "keep his 'bergs going". That goes a LONG was in my book.

Be the guy that does the little things, people will appreciate it, and you WILL be a success. GOOD LUCK, keep us posted on the good times and the not so good times.

Just my $.02

Wow, I just had an Opra moment... Sheesh...

Yahoo.... :)
Haven't had a chance to uncrate anything yet, but we have 12 really cool boxes down stairs... gimme a day, I'll have them on the floor, well, some of them anyway... everybody in the company wants in on the builds!

I'll keep you posted!

Joseph

Usually they are in the knapsack... but not everyone.Sometimes you get a KTM525 one..

What's with... Ok, first of all, let me say, very sweet machine. Now let me say... Why did they do that...

Will that spring clip really last out the mud and stuff?... Hey, that radiator line is aweful close to that header... Hmmm... I'm gonna be spending some time on set-up, aren't I ?

Glad to do it, but you bet... I'll be writing to the factory guys.

OK, I'm getting it... add some grease to the ait filter bases, make a tool to install the footrest springs, invest in heat tape and dielectric grease... I think I've got this set up thing down. (pulling the starter to get the carbs out easier- is a bit time consuming :) ). What a beautiful machine though.

Any and all set up tips would be greatly appreciated...

Joseph

I'd like to thank you all for the welcome, the emails and generally... all of the enthusiasm. (Had a Husqvarna owner come in on his new motard... and now he's sorry that he bought it befor he came to see my Husabergs.) The initial public response is very enthusiastic! I'm going to test ride my first (FS 550e) in a minute or two...

Ok, a day later. (I've done a million things since my test ride: Fixed parts orders. Found a microfiche error the hard way... took some fancy foot work to make that one work- I'll tell ya.... even fixed some teenage children problems!) Go figure... I'm a busy guy.

So, here it is, a day later and late at night. Why am I smiling?.... cause I can't get that "braap"... that first "braap" out of my head.

She stumbles a little out of the bottom, but I'm willing to give break-in a chance to work that out... I may play with jetting some more... it is cold and humid right now. Off the bottom... God, thank you. When I first read about these guys... I was imagining what a four stroke could be. Tough and torky was expected, but why couldn't a four stroke be light and sing too?...

I've played with all the Japaneese stuff, and don't get me wrong... thay play hard... This was just too poetic for words. The 550 took off for me in just the way I hoped it would. I'd say stuff about the chassis, but I really don't remember how it felt... wierd huh? I usually am very critical about the ergonomics of my ride, but all I really remember is that damn "braap".

This is gonna be fun!

You mentioned removing the starter to jet the carb. No need to do that. Loosen the rear clamp, remove the intake boot for the engine/carb. You may have to disconnect the TPS wiring to gain some room and also some vent lines will need stretching, but once you've done this, you can tilt the carb to access the needle from the top left side and the pilot from the lower right side. You should be able to do a needle adj and a pilot change in under 20 minutes, with a beer break.

I hope this helps

Fry

Thank you, advise taken!

Yea, gettin' there. Got the carbs down to a half an hour or so. We built twelve units. I can't wait to field test the bikes.
Live and learn, I say.

Everybody's really dedicated to bringing these bikes out. It's the first really exciting 'bike' thing that we have gotten to do since the snow began. Oh, and the Husabergs are our first 'official' motorcycle line... you guys have no idea how cool that is... Think 70's independant bike shop that has some Husqy's and Hodaka's for offroad. ( I'm an old fool... I just love a 'hell of a machine' ) I think these bikes are all that and so much more...

Joseph
