Yup Scott boots in the late 70's
My buddy had a pair and still swears by them. They were brutal to the sides of bikes.
They weren't for me - my HiPoints are around here somewhere....

There was also another ski type boot "Heckel" great foot, ankle, and shin protection. But the ankle hinge was a big rivet that wold get hung-up on the rear break rod on my "76" CZ 400/ 4speed" Falta Replica".
