Just got my berg fs 650 2004 engine was rebuilt not too long ago at DCR but it leaks oil quite bad already looks like it's from the top of engine like cam or top cover gasket sealer area.

U can actually see it run down the engine.

Should I just pull it off an re swallow with something.

Also if you remove the radiator cap after it has cooled down enough there seems to be quite a bit of pressure in there is this normal or is the thing broke already..

Cheers

the rocker cover is easy enough to remove, and reseal, 3bond engine sealer would be ideal, any type of form a gasket permatex sealer or rtv will work, clean the gasket surface so it is free of old gasket and oil, you dont need an extreme amount of sealer but make sure each rocker shaft is sealed in good, they seem to be a spot that likes to leak, and also make sure if there are any areas where there is a seam in the aluminum to apply more then just on a straight portion like on the front and back of head.
as far as the coolant thing goes, having some slight pressure is better than none, if there is still pressure it means that its not leaking on the ground or inside the engine, the radiator could just be too full so it seems this way, or if you have a coolant reservior or catch tank fitted you make sure that the line is not pinched or the vent is not clogged...i usually lose just a few drops when i open the cap after its sat overnight, even though there isnt a lot of coolant in the system it can stay warm in the engine for hours and can come out more in this time period if opened...i wouldnt think it would boil and explode over though after sat for hours... how much pressure is still left after how long of a time period, sometimes an airpocket stuck int he engine cane make it boil over when open and seem to have more pressure too...
