Bahrain, for now.
I am new to this site and do not own a Husaberg yet but I defenatly plan on it when I get home. The information that I am actualy looking for is for my father actualy.
I have told him so much about Husabergs he started checking into them himself and decided against KTM and will buy a new/leftover 04 FC450e. I was wondering what if any trouble may be expected with it. I have done some in depth recerch on line and have not found many bad things, if any. (which is why I am so dead set on getting one) Any info good or bad would help. of course good is better.

hello lubbz

welcome to UHE, we luckily have just a few similar models to worry about and we tend to get the info out and around within 12 months of them arriving on the dealers floor.

i trust that if you came to UHE where we do this for the love of it you'll know that we haven't anything to hide. we tell it how it is and then get to grips with it, sort it and spend all our time riding instead of paying for that blown motor!

on the '04s i have heard that the carburretor breather pipe can stick to the exhaust. a friend of mine had two ignition units go but i haven't heard of nor has anyone else of one since. i believe someone in the states a month ago had similar SYMPTOMS but we await his reply.

the brits got the first ones and the USA-the last. by the time you got them they were sorted.

and that's it really. if you read the owners doc you may find little mods that make them better. otherwise they're good to go!

regards

Taffy

Welcome

Hey LUBBZ, After picking up my 02 Berg, I spent a lot of time going through the old forums and reading the ones that pertained to my bike, then I read the rest of them. The depth of info here is bottomless! Enjoy the ride, and thanks to all of you over there :brave:

As Taffy said North Americans seem to be the last ones on the planet to get the new model Husabergs. The upside to being last is that any warranty type of issues usually get resolved before we get them.

As of January 25th 2005 all new 2004 and 2005 FE and FS models carry a one year warranty. Compare that to a Japanese bike!

Thanks for the help. And I didn't figure there would be any punches to pull and as far as I can tell there is not much about the bergs to hide. So far thats what I like about the bikes and this forum.

An as far as pops is concerned it would not mater what faults there may be wiht the 450. His mind is made up. Going wiht the berg is just a no brainer! Man, only part that sucks is that he gets one before me, but it won't be long, I'm on the downside and the countdown is on. 8)
