New bike, hmmm?

After owning two Bergs I've always said I'd stick with them, but now they've been polished off it's getting a bit difficult.

Towards the end of the year I'm going to sell my '08 FE550 and get something newer, I love the bike but got to think about re-sell value.

Whatever I get will still be used for enduros mainly, with a little supermoto use on the road during summer.

Question is where do I go from here, I've had an '04 FE450 and the '08 FE550. The next bike I wanted was a 2012 FE570 but I guess people are hanging on to them for obvious reasons. What are my chances of finding one?? :?

Not interested at all in 2013 onwards 'Bergs' so other than that, what else is there? Was originally thinking of a Husky but wasn't sure about the beemer motor, and now they are going KTM too, but to what degree, are Husky going to be a re-badged KTM like Husaberg now are?

Other options.....maybe even go jap and get a kawasaki or suzuki. 'Gulp'

Ideally I want the 570 but will see if any appear out of thin air.

Never thought I'd ride anything other than a Berg, quite sad about it all really.

Decisions decisions...

I was in the same boat as you. I had my '10 570 for three solid years, and was just simply time for a new bike.
Your right, people really are hanging on to these bikes. I couldn't believe I sold mine for $7,000, with 11 calls in 36 hours. Unreal!
The same thoughts went through my head; Husky, Beta, even considered the TM530. Like most of us, I was bitter about the "Blue KTM" FE501's. True Husaberg gone, KTM with blue plastic, somewhat better forks and a plastic sub frame . . . big whoop, right?

Well being backed into the exact corner your in now, I caved and bought the '13 501. All I will say, is ride one first. Your frustration/anger/disappointment will melt away. Truly the sweetest bike Ive ever owned (Berg 570, KTM 525, Husky 510, CRF 450X, CRF 450R, XR650R, 4- XR600's).
No, Im not a big guy, I just like big power.

Just food for thought, friend. :)

So hows the 501 in general?

Power wise I don't think it will matter, or is it this time more for a mid/top end bike with faster revs? It's still PDS so suspension can't be that much better/different. Frame and engine is obviously different, so how it handles?

Just curious to know. Don't really need a new bike, or maybe a 1290 SuperDuke R or RC8R but thats dreaming only.

FYI, I have been looking for a TE250/300 and noticed Gunnison Motorsports, in Gunnison CO appears to still have a '12 FE570 in stock. Good Luck!

Shame I'm in the UK then! :(

I saw that 570 on ebay with the spare engine but was put off by the condition tbh. Wanted one with much less hours on it.

A fair few riders are on the 2013 bergs in my enduro club, sure they are a good ride but would just prefer a 570. I'll just have to wait and see if any pop up later in the year.

For now, I'm still very much enjoying my 550- (TBEC Ironstone enduro yesterday) :)

The one that was on ebay might have a lot of hours on the clock but not all engine hours, And shes in very good condition just never had the time to clean it before the pictures where taken lol. :bounce3:

I was thinking of selling mine, 2010 107 hours on it.

I can get you photo's if your interested, I think we've me at Tbec once?
