Hey guys,

Name's Don. I'm a new 'Berger as of just 3 weeks ago. I got killer deal on a 98 FE 501 (see pic)

I'm looking for someone local to the Seattle area to ride with. I'm brand new to woods riding and dirt-biking. So I'm looking for someone to learn with. I want to get out as much as possible.

Don't worry I've got dirt tires/wheels (brand new) extra sprockets and a numberplate gas tank for longer trips.

Anyone game? Or anyone know a great site for finding new riders/groups?

Thanks guys.

whew! i thought we were gonna hear about a ken clone

welcome to the site. when we want to hook up with other local riders, we cruise our local dirtbike site. try researching one in your area.

I think code monkey lives in your neck of the woods. Brand new 570, rumor is he likes to go slow.

Hey guys, The Husy has had some problems this past weekend. It's a long list, so I'll be posting in the other sections to troubleshoot the myriad of issues. Basically I am going to need to find a service manual for this bike, and get busy. Probably going to be in pieces for a month or more.

There is AdvRider.com that has regional forums, so does ThumperTalk IIRC (they seem very oriented towards racing though - still a good site).

That said, I am usually up for a ride on the weekend. I live up north actually - Everett - I put Seattle in my profiles because everybody in the world knows where that is. Was gonna go riding last weekend with some friends from AdvRider, but I came down with the crud and I am just now feeling almost human again. So, I think I would be up for a ride this next weekend. I usually go out to Machias DNR land to ride because it is only a 30 minute pavement ride from me and most of the technical trails are short but challenging (enough for me to practice).

Yeah, I am slow on the technical stuff because I am just getting back in the groove after not having ridden off-road for ten years and I wasn't very good before - actually I am probably better now than then because I have been practicing. I don't last for long because I am very out of shape and my technique sucks.

Yeah, I was gonna say - you'll need some different tires. ;)

go to husaberg.com then go to service, then go to downloads. there you'll see a workshop manual, an owner's manual and a parts manual. all for your bike.
