Hello everyone new owner from Leeds Uk.Ive been looking on this site for a while now.

Well i finally found myself a 2009 570 fe with 30 hours on it so thought i would introduce myself properly.

These bikes don't come up too often in the uk especially with low hours.
I would have preferred the sm version but I couldn't find one with low hours.

anyways here's a pic as everyone likes pics :D

Just bought some SM wheels for it too which will hopefully be here by early next week.
:D:D

Also snagged myself a 70 degree tank one of the last over run ones and also a scotts metal oil filter from the US.:spin:

So now i have myself a new money pit and a list of things i want to buy its going to be a long expensive road.
Also i need to find some places local now to ride it off road and get it dirty.

Crispy Duck lol.

Welcome to the forums I'm fairly new myself ..nice bike you have there i have its baby brother the 390 . I get most of my engine parts for my 390 and my 550 from taffinmiesters England
David could possibly tell you where to ride over there

Thanks i will take a look at taffmeisters.
I have spoken to my local Ktm dealers who said they can unlock the ecu and load maps onto it so that will be my next expense:D

Well once i get organized that is.

Welcome to the club!..Here's a part's list that I used bring my FE to FS spec

I have a converted 2010 FE 570 and there is some parts sourcing you will have to do but I shopped around and got good prices on parts like 14* Billet triples Radial brakes etc. parts I can remember to complete to FS spec are.

1. I got FBI to revalve/spring my suspension with radial fork leg was around $600
2. I had Marchesini wheels from a previous KTM but the Warp 9's are a lot less around $600 used to about $1200 new.
3. Remapped ECU W/Akra map + JD tuner $250
4. KTM hard parts 14* billet triples bought from Torque Monster $350 I think
5. KTM 310mm rotor bought from KTM world on sale for $175
6. KTM SMR radial MC/line caliper $150 bought on SMJ
7. Akra slip on bought on here $250
8. FS white plastic kit +FS headlight $350 from Appalachian off road
9. Trail tech Vapor $150 on eBay but you can re-program stock speedo
10. Vortex 13/42 sprockets & chain from HMC racing $130
11. Axle block sliders & front sliders bought from HMC racing for $125
12. Adige slipper clutch from HMC racing $650

Total $3780 USD but cut that down by taking off slipper/Plastic/speedo/Re-map & slip on
by $1550 but I would recommend the slipper clutch my HMC Berg is so sweet with that thing. I bought the bike for $5000 with 900k on it so I have $8780 in it, and it is very close to equal to the HMC Berg Minus the Beringer brakes & clutch MC.

Wow that's an expensive list of parts. I have rotors and wheels and not sure if I will need new 14mm triples as I probably won't be able to tell the difference between stock fe triples.

if it helps, I have a set of brand new, unused Xtrig triple clamps here that I have had anodised blue. they retail for 500 and the anodising was 70. - "ouch" as you might say! 500 for the set?

they have 200mm centres like the latest KTM SMs which allows more steering lock. but you'll need a conversion kit as well to allow the wheel to sit right. I can get this as well.

the offset is 11-14mm which means you need to be strong.

Taffy

Thanks for the offer taffy. I'm going to run with the standard fe triples for a bit and see how it works out. I don't do track days so all my riding is on the street so I'm not sure if it would make much difference to me.
