New Battery.....?

My original battery is giving up after almost 7 years. Been looking at a replacement LI battery which are smaller with lower capacity as regards AH rating but supposedly deliver higher CCA's for starting. Anyone fitted one and had any issues with it? My experience of LI batteries in other applications is that they have specific charging requirements/special chargers so how does the bikes charging system cope with a LI battery?

Edit....The battery I'm thinking of is this one:

Hi

I've been using one JMT on my ktm without a problem, I'm a cheapskate so I'm using the smaller one, that can handle a 2 stroke, but for sure not a berg.

The weight of these batts is incredible, when I got the box, I thought it was empty :D

Yes you will need a different charger, but no problem with the bikes charging system.

Don't know how it will last, only one year, but for me it's a great upgrade for the money. Just think how much money you should spend to save that weight on the bike.
