New to me, last of the classic Bergs...
2008 FE550

called the gentleman that is selling her, told her its sold!

We will link up on Sunday south of Seattle and transfer $$ for Swedish Steel!

Still on the MSO - never titled so PLATE CITY here I come!!
300+ miles, rode around the farm etc.

id say its "reasonably" clean :cheers:

Sweet ride. I saw that bike for sale, and considered it myself, if i didnt have 2 650s already i would definitely be all over one like that . that is as close to a brand new 08 as you can get. 2008 is a very good bike. you should be very happy.
 
Im pumped thats for sure.
the 550 is the one I have really wanted well since the 07 models came out.
I guess waiting and patience pays off!
Its pretty pristine (at least in the photos) but its hard to hide anything with the level of detail in the original ones the owner sent me.

he has the blue anodized covers on the clutch and FR Brake and oil fill on the motor, was the AK stock on the 08's?
he said he has done the jetting so will check if thats Ricks recipe or if its JD.

I have hand guards already..and a dual sport kit ready to drop in to go with the plate (already check with our DOL)

Sunday is gonna be a hoot!

Those blue anodized parts and the AK are stock on the '08. You're gonna be very happy with that bike!
 
congrats!!!

I picked up an 08 FE450 last year as my first ever bike and can't believe how much fun it is (and insanely fast!). I bet that 550 is a MONSTER!!

Have a poker run this Saturday to get some saddle time..

so

1. New Front Tire (Pirelli MT16 front (DOT) and an MT43 rear
2. Cycra pro bend Handguards
3. Fast way hand guard & damper mount
4. Skid plate coming from Rick in portland
5. Rick is out of Radiator Guards for a few weeks...bummer.
6. Full up DS kit
7. Fresh oil and filter (Shell Rotella T Full Syn)

get ready for a Street Legal grin machine!!

Sweet machine Scott! Welcome back to the Berg Brotherhood. The FE550 is the perfect size for you to be rippin' up fine trails in the Pacific NorthWet. Super manageable, smooth, strong power!
 
She's a beauty for sure. Picked up mine last summer for a steal with only 5hrs on it. Was wondering what kind of rejetting you had done on yours as mine seems to be running a little warm. Still the stock pilot and main in my carb. Mostly ride in Alberta @ mid range altitudes. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks
 
Rick Bozarth in Portland set up the jetting on this bike and I have not touched it.
