oakley, calif.
well i've really done it this time...while nursing my wife back to health after back surgery, i have been spending way too much time at this site...got the itch, located a new fe450 and took the plunge...am I out of my frickin mind?

Congrats.
I'd say the only way you'd be out of your mind is if you didn't take the plunge. 8O

thanx for the welcome...been reviewing all the Husatech in the forums , especially suspension and my head is about to blow..I don't even have the bike yet and I'm tweeking this and that...how many years is this going to take?...what fork springs? what shock spring? straight rate vs. progressive..disconnecting AC pump and etc. etc.etc. Tylenol anyone?

ditto to all of the above...just ride it first, you may not want to change a thing.

Just trying to get a rise out of you guys. Thanx for the well wishes!

Well the one thing you may want to check into is richening up the pilot and needle. If I'm not mistaken the '07s came jetted quite lean.I'm sure someone can jump in and lend some base settings for you or perhaps the dealer will address this before you take delivery?

dealer has addressed jetting leaness issue with bigger pilot and richer clip position...this is Calif. green sticker bike = lean stock jetting...will keep eye on pipes for color changes..thanks for the heads up.

also plan on contacting Mr. Lineaweaver about his kit and set up...not to far down the road from me.

I've only been able to get one short break in ride on the '08 thus far but I love what I've felt so far! I'm looking forward to getting some serious saddle time and get it all squared away to my personal liking before the season back here gets into full swing.
The jetting was tweaked a tad on mine as the '08s aren't as quite lean as the '07s from what I understand and it runs and carburates awesomely so far.
Perhaps I'm biased by my familiarity to the Berg being I've owned and ridden a couple but I just love the way they ride and this one feels like it easily has the potential to be the best one yet.
For back east it's a great do anything bike for a int/B level sportsman rider be it moto, hare scramble, enduro etc.
Have fun with yours!

You got me all jacked up in the game, Bro...my first Berg, and I be pumped! Our riding weather out here is primo right now so Sat. is break-in at the local rock pile aka Carnegie ORV...if the Berg works there it will work anywhere...I'm starting to speak in rhyme...will report back!
