Neutral Problem

Morning everyone,

Just a little niggly problem that I have been having recently, riding my 2004 FE450 on some lanes/roads yesterday and more often than not in the low gears the bike would sometimes randomly knock itself into neutral. It was fine once you got up to third and you was going some pace but first and second gear was a nightmare! Going into neutral up some big hills isn’t fun! Any ideas please?

I don't have an answer but the problem is likely to be something to do with the selector arm situated behind the clutch. there is a sliding claw that can get bound up because the metal spreads out and binds where it keeps smashing into the pins.

Thanks for the heads up, it’s really frustrating to be honest with you and actually dangerous when doing hill climbs and stuff! Hopefully I can sort it
