Need some advice with looking for Husaberg's

My original plan was to look for a cheap 05+ FS650 550 to fix up and enjoy.
Well that didn't work out. Just even finding a Berg seems to be trouble-sum enough.

So I changed my criteria. I started considering 70 degree bergs aswell being they are allot easier to find and include EFI. But still no FS's...

So, I am looking for some advice on this search. I feel I have strayed way off course with my original needs.

Right now I have two Bergs I could consider. One a nicely upgraded FX450. He said it was set up for the trail. It's got a Rekluse Z-Pro auto clutch, Dugas 200 trail computer, Bullit proof designs radiator guards, Husaberg factory cooling fan, and 70 hours on the bike. It's not even 30 mins away from me as-well. My only problems with this bike is one: I would have to do all new electronics, two I would prefer the 570 for the torque and three I would prefer a wider gear ratio.

The other is a FE570 almost completely stock with a little over 4k+ miles.

Do you guys think I should consider either of these bikes or should I wait until an actual FS pops up? The most I can spend on this project is $6k no more. I am very careful with how I budget my projects. I thought I knew the values of these bikes but everyone I find seems to be over it. What are these bikes valued at now?

Last thing I need to ask. Anyone think Parts will be becoming a problem to get in the future now that Husaberg is dead?

Hope you guys can help me out. Otherwise, I might have to consider moving onto another project. Was thinking ether a H2 cafe, a custom W650/800 or maybe just go with a SXV. Those things a dirt cheap now...

Yes I bought one! 2011 Fe570.

Need a little help though. The kickstand was broken off. And apparently they used a little shaft on the frame that the stand should slide on. "poor design if you ask me" But it broke off aswell.

I don't want to weld another piece onto the frame and than have to re-thread the hole again.

Anyone have a easy fix for this?

Another thing. Called my local husqvarna dealer to order the SM wheels. But KTM dosent offer them anymore. Not for KTM, Husaberg, or husqvarna.
I really would have like to simply have ordered the conversion kit directly from them and get a full factory set-up instead of piecing the thing together.
Any recommendations?

I would prefer a fix rather than a $160 new kickstand...

some what good news though. The Husqvarna dealer simply didnt know what they were doing. Called a KTM dealer and they can still piece one together but at a premium price.
$2,100 just for the wheels and tires. And they only can get them in black.

I am going to look at how much it would cost to piece one together. I know I want tubeless but a crush drive dosent matter too much to me.

SM sets aren't cheap unless you buy cheap parts, but even then you will be looking at over $1000 not including tires. If $2100 includes the oversized rotors, caliper brackets, etc its not that far off.

Nope just rims and tires. Not even a sprocket...

Whats BST stand for?

I am planning on changing the headlight and fender too. It had the KTM ones of there. IDK why people swap them...It just makes a mess with the wiring : /

I am going to keep the calipers that are on the bike already. I didn't know they were Brembo. But I would like a nice over-sized rotor. Ideally a Beringer rotor but dam if they didn't get expensive. $500 for a rotor is crazy.

Basically what I am looking to do is turn this FE570 into a FS570 with a better brake rotor.
I am going to look over the wiring and see if I can clean it up some when I replace the headlight back to stock. I hate messy wiring...

You for sure want a cush drive. The SM setup gets such good traction, you'll damage the output shaft of the KTM/Husa motor.

If you're really into SM, be aware that the stock SM wheels you're searching for is only 4.25", which limits you on tire size/width. It is fine for basic canyon carving, but if for any real racing, all those guys want a 5" rear wheel.

I actually was looking for the 4.25" rear with Michelin Pilot power's. This is not for racing. This is something just for my own personal enjoyment.

Don't need any Carbon fiber rims thanks you. lol
Just looking for some good reliable tubeless spoked rims. I guess with a crush drive.
Would be nice to get a set of rims in ether white or blue.

Anyone know if the crush drive from KTM is universal?
If I find a set of rims would I be able to put the crush drive on it even if its not the KTM hub?

Might consider the 5" rear. Anyone running the 5" on the FE570? Think you could get a pic of the gap between the wheel and swingarm?

just don't want to buy something and find out its going to rub.

KTM and Husaberg wheels are universal to each other. The KTM cush drive will fit straight in.

Quick question. The battery is dead. Is there an easy way to charge it or do I need to remove it and charge it?

There are chargers that are supposed to be able to resuscitate flat batteries! Desulfation something something iirc ...
