Mine came off a CBR from eBay. You should be able to get the same exact one there for a portion of the price of the new one.
Be careful and look for what you're getting.
Don't get the ones with the side rods. Or the ones with the rear bracket flush to the body of the motor. Bracket has to be close to central "knob".

Another one, for less.
If it does not fit exactly, you still can gut the newer one to rebuild the old one (I remember DaleO doing this with a perfectly good starter motor :roll: I sold him).
Battery: do yourself a favor and get the Yuasa YTZ 7S with the money you save by cross-referencing the starter motor. That's the battery they put in the new Bergs, for a good reason.
