its official i now own a husaberg, and it is a beauty. its a 2004 fe550 brand new with blue rims BOSS skidplate and radiator guards. Rick did a fantastic job setting it up. i drove 2400 miles to pick up this bike, roundtrip. rode about 65miles with Rick and some other guys. Rick was breaking in the 2006 550 for the 24hr torture test in gorman. we rode just outside of prinville oregon, it was cold. below 40, but the bikes started up on 2 kicks, and yes Rick did start it with his hand. Rick is a great guy and sure is fast. would love to get down to phoenix for the group ride, am seriously considering it. good luck in gorman guys and thanx again Rick. wont be able to ride here (crested butte colorado) for months, nothing but snow here

That's great! I will be picking my 04 fe550 up from Dan at Motoxotica Monday or tuesday. I will be heading up to ride with BOSS and logjump in march. It will be awesome! Welcome to the fold!

Excellent choice! The 550 is a great bike.
Don't just "consider it".... come on down to Phoenix.

Way to go quesoberger! Making it to PHX would be a great frist adventure for you & the new 5-fiddy. I will be bringing some Texas BBQ for Fri. or Sat. night whenever Berger sez is best for everyone. Hope to see you there. H-berg :whipitgood:

Welcome to the new lifestyle of H-berg !

When I read posts like this I get all excited thinking about the future when I can experience the joy of picking up a new Berg again. What a wonderful day that was...Aaaaa :p . Must have been fun riding up there in Orgeon in the cold like that, I would have imagined wiping through the pines of Sweden on a brisk winter morning.... well a 180 deg turn from what you just did is coming on down to Phx and riding the warm :hotsun: rocky desert next week and enjoying the company of these fine folk over TX pit BBQ and cold beers :eek:ccasion5: Only 4 days away now and drawing close fast. Come on down and hang out with us it'll be a hoot!

Congratulations on your new ride :thumb:

Regards!

THIS BIKE ROCKS!!! got about 300 awesome miles in with the boys down in AZ. bike seemed to be jetted great rode from 2000'-6200' one day. on some of the slower trails i did have some boiling over. i'm sure my bald tire didn't help. even with baldy in back i was still getting 5th gear wheelies in the sand washes with no clutch, yahoo. really felt like i was getting the feel of the bike. looks like the 2005 525 mxc wil be up for sale soon. can't wait to ride. will have to head to moab or green river soon, only 5 hrs. am so glad i made the time to go to AZ. everybody is so nice, can't wait for the next ride. a huge thanx to Berger for everything, and Splat also, and to everybody else. also a big thanx to BOSS for a great bike. hey rick, its a 550.

got out of the snow (mostly) yesterday and rode with buzzard and 2 other guys, one on a 501, in montrose. lost my radiator cap 2 miles in, i hear its better to tighten them down before you ride. no luck finding it so we had to go back to the truck. one guy shuttled a cap back to me. i guess the trail was snowed in about a mile beyond anyway. buzzard made a few phone calls, as here appears to know anybody and everybody in the area with a dirtbike, and we drove to some doctors house, who was out ridin his new ktm, talked to his wife and went in his shop and he had one in his tool chest. went to a different riding area and got about 30 miles in. bike ran great but definately doesn't have the snap it had down in phoenix, was at about 7000'. buzzard helped (showed) me do the valves. have about 450 miles on it now. valves were a tad tight. had a great time met and met some great guys. thanx again buzzard.
