Hey guys, I figured that I would share my first ever day at the track with you.

First of all, the atmosphere was very light. It was very laid back. Everyone was very cool and loved to share tips with me, which I REALLY needed :p.

There were only 3 other supermotos out here this day. Most of the riders were on the minis. lots of kids. These kids know how to pick a line and ride it like they are on rails! The kids group ranged from 8 to i think 10 or 11.

The day wasn't a race, it was a test and tune. There were 3 different groups. the supermotos (myself, a drz, a wr250 and a sxv550), kids on minis, and then who ever on the minis (anyone could go try them out).

Each group for about 10 mins per session. After the last session was over they held a "mock" race for each group. It was 5 laps long.

I got to try one of the minis and wow are they different!

I loved my first day at the track. I had a BLAST. I bought a membership yesterday and its good for all next year now, so I am excited.

Even though i couldn't keep right up with the rest of the supermotos I had fun. I didn't get lapped though!

Guess I cant add an attachment properly... sorry!

there was not any there. i made it known i was coming down with the berg and the sporties probably got scared! lol

of the 3 sumos there, i was teh worst, but i bet i had the most fun! plus, they have been going there for a long time.

i forgot something too... no more chicken strips for me!

Thats kool Shorty!! Thats what I found moving from a sports bike (my first & only bike after passing my test) to the supermoto. Because you tilt the bike between your legs, rather than hanging off it, I built up more confidence in the lean angle & corner speed, and before I know it the pegs were scraping on the road. Keep up the track days, they will give you more experience & with it confidence in your ability & that of the bike.

BTW, Can I just say congratulations to Rossi on his 6th Moto GP title, IMO he is the GOAT!!!!!!!!!!

woot!

yea, ill say one thing, i feel way more comfortable leaning this over than i do a sportbike. the bike gives me so much confidence!
