A new accessory on the official Husaberg website is a user setting tool. It seems to be a plug that connects to the CDI on the bike on one side and through the other side via a usb cable with a computer.
It costs a whopping € 600,- depending on the country. Does anyone has an educated guess what's inside it? just some wiring or electronics?

In the download section on the same official Husaberg website you'll find a program from Keihin for download. It's the acual program to make your own settings/mapping.

Normaly the program would cost mega euros but it seems KTM/Keihin is forseeing free downloads on the www and therefore made the connector very, very expensive.

Thanks,
Adriaan

I got it!

I'm not sure what setting am I going to change yet, but I will start experimenting soon. The tool has memory and can record 800 minutes of engine working time by 100ms intervals. Then you can analyze the collected data if you understand it. My first disappointment is that it does not log lambda sensor data. Also you cannot edit ignition map, but only the fuel delivery. I guess most of you have downloaded the software to play with, but it's useless unless you have some setting and log files, so I have uploaded some files for testing at: http://htftp.domainbg.com/sabin/pics/hu ... t_data.rar

I almost forget. You cannot use this tool, unless your ECU is reprogrammed by the dealer and this will void you warranty if you enable UST usage. The good news is that after you get the new preprogrammed ECU you will notice a big improvement in your bikes power! :D

It seems to me that our bikes are restricted by the ECU for warranty reasons. I also found a setting in the UST, which I think is abour this restriction. Check this picture:

There are also some othr settings that I haave no idea what are they for. Any Ideas?

Hi sabink
some of the data abbreviation is very close to the automotive world so starting black field
#1 self explanatory
#2 throttle opening in degrees
#3throttle opening in volts
#4 manifold absolute pressure ( manifold vacuum) in kilo pascal
#5engine coolant temperature
#7 intake temperature
#9 atmospheric pressure
#10 fuel adjust part throttle (i am guessing here)this is adjustment + or- from design
f uel map, of course correction factor is calculated from O2 values this is more of a short term adjustment it would be a reactive adjustment
#11fuel adjust all this is almost the same as above but it is more of a long term
adjustment , a pro active calculation this is so that that above dont have too large of
adjustment number
#12 fuel adjustment total this is combined adjustment value of 11 and 12
#13 fuel adjustment acceleration enrichment factor
#14 acceleration enrichment active
#15 acceleration index this indicates in what rpm range above is active
#16 map switch indicates position of map switch
this is heavy duty stuff but once figured out it be easy to change and i think that the
reasoning behind having the ignition map not adjustable is it is very easy to melt a
piston given the right circumstances

Thanks Viking for the clarification.

Do you understand what this settings mean:

1. The deceleration fuel cutting valve control is off.
2. The HEGO feedback control is off.
3. The purge valve control is off.
4. The control of second air solenoid of the exhaust is off.

Thanks.

The first two are easy...

1. you either feed fuel on decleration or shut it off
2. this is the lambda sensor, you can run open (off) or closed loop
3. don't know
4. don't know

I don't know 4 sure but here's my idea about the last two items:
The user setting tool and diagnostic tools originates from KTMs twin cylinder. Therefore you sometimes find things mentioned like HEGO 2 or MAP 2.
In other words, the purge valve and second air solenoid are non-exsistent in this case.

decel fuelcut means that when throttle is closed computer wont open injector until
rpm reaches close to idle rpm that is prevent fuel too load up in cyl. and exhaust
it is there to pass emission
HEGO is another name for O2 sensor feed back control is when computer uses O2
too keep airfuel ratio 14,7 to 1 also known as lamda 1,0
if you had a carbon canister (to catch hydro carbon fumes from fuel tank)they a purge
solenoid to purge carbon canister from stored fumes
air injection solenoid is there to open a passage for air into exhaust so it burn fuel left over from combustion this would be activated during decel
I have not seen any bergs with carbon canister or air injection system i think that they are using the same ecu platform as KTM 690
I think that O2 feed back is activated on EU models to pass EU emissions
