riddin lots up here in the promised land. finally been gettin a fair amount of rain/hail/snow. rode with a new buddy yesterday. put in 78 miles of which 10 feet were the most tiring. stayed ahead of the precip the first half of the day then decided to head over to Doctors Park, BIG MISTAKE. after passing the point of no return things got a little sloppy. i got stuck on a hill for a few minutes right at the top, or should i say a few feet from the top. it was so slippery i fell 3 times just trying to pick up the Berg. i was pushing as hard as i could and using the clutch and gas and going nowhere. darn near sucked the life out of me those 10 feet. finally made it up that section. got stuck on 2 more hills and was about ready to put a match to the Berg, havn't lost my temper like that in years. persistence paid and i finally made it to the top. my buddy grew up riddin in the mud and didn't go down once, very impressive. we were both so tired we took roads the last 12 miles home. mountain biked today 20.2 miles more than half which was uphill, still cant keep up with my girlfriend on the uphills, but i smoke her on the downhills. my new ride is sweet. i will twist the throttle tomorrow because i'm feeling tired and lazy, unless it rains. Happy 4th

Sounds like an epic day cheeseburger! When the going gets snotty over here we let all the air out of our back tires! Sounds funny, but one day on the Oregon coast, it had been dumping rain all day, the trails were total slime, all my buddies were strugling, and I felt like superman. At the end of the day, while loading my bike I realized my rear tire had been flat all day! Some of the best traction I ever had. Now when it looks muddy I start dumping air! 2-3psi will still hold your bead on, and you will hook up.

great idea, where were you when i needed you. i will definately remember that.
