This is happening to anyone else? Mud in the rear turn signals and tail light after a wet ride?

This is from a ride yesterday with puddles and a few muddy spots. Didn't submerse the bike or anything like that. I never had a bike do this from just splashing down wet trails.

Any suggestions on an easy fix?

I did some extensive testing but forgot to mount the turn signals.

But I can garantee that the rest of the bike is mud prove. :-D

Assuming local regs allow, learn to use hand signals and take the indicators off. They've no business on a dirt bike and are a liability, the first thing to break when you go down. Is that the OEM rear light? Looks different to mine and much bigger. Remove the lens, dry it out and refit it with a bit of silicone sealer not forgetting where the wires enter the housing and you should be OK.

Will also blow the fuse if too much water gets in there. The fan is on the indicator circut so no fan aswell.

Thanks for letting me know this. I will replace them with flush mount LEDs. I hate having indicators on a bike used mostly off road ... but they are required by law here in New York state.

Couldn't agree with you more, I hate having indicators on a dirt bike. And yes, that is the stock tail light.

I have the same issue with mine...wetness getting past the "seal" which is really what the problem is...there is NO seal. Just plastic on plastic and a single screw holding the lens to the housing. I will wait for mine to break before buying a new setup but I'm going to an LED setup like the one my buddy got on his KTM which he just got plated. Much tighter, cleaner looking, brighter and well....better.
